Strange course with lots of gimics. It's mainly made up of straight holes that parallel the ocean. Greens behind, right and left are surrounded by unplayable areas so that if you miss by more than 25 feet in any direction you need to take a drop. Fairways are fairly wide but most are severely sloped so that balls landing in the fairway often wind requiring a drop from the unplayable lie. Course has no trees, no doglegs, just lots of traps and crazy greens. I've never met anybody that has played this course that plans to go back. Count me in to this group.

Very nice conditions & excellent service. Worth $275 on a weekday? No. Glad it was a comp round. Conditions at Angeles National exceed the Trump for a quarter of the cost. Great views of the ocean though. There are a few hokey greens with absurb tiering.

Played course before Trump took over and after and only real difference is the new holes,driving range and large increase in green fees.

Played today (1:10) it's OK, not worth the $$$$$$$. The rought is like the US Open, it is nuts. Lots of other places to play that are better. I'm happy I didn't have to pay for the round.

Amazing views, tremendous piece of property, great service...and the golf course architect(s) should never be allowed to design another course...some very, very easy holes (1, 2, 4, 10, 12, 15, 16) and some ridiculous holes (14 is a complete joke of a par 5). never played ocean trails, but it seemed like pete dye's hands are still on the course (funky bunker placement, ridiculous green undulations (what's up with #12?))...while the views beat pebble, the course doesn't come close...probably should play it once just to see what it's about, but if your thinking about playing again, save your money (or play it on somebody else's...). if i saw one more picture of the donald there, i think i would've lost it....

Great view,great service,group ahead was a tad slow but they tried to pick it up. Course was in nice shape and unfortuantely I found out the sand traps were easy to get out of..ha ha

I absolutely loved this course! The views were amazing. I was astonished at how perfect the fairways were, no bare spots, perfect lies everywhere! I would absolutely come back again and again!

course in great shape except greens a little slower that they look. first time i've played since trump took over and redesign course and i think its much more playable. fairways alittle wide now.

The course is not worth the $300 green fee, however, it is does offer beautiful views and some difficult holes (and some "Mickey Mouse" holes as well). The greens are far too shaggy and slow for a course of this "calibur"/cost and I don't see this venue becoming the next Pebble Beach. It is an interesting round if you ave $$$$$ to burn.... Tijeras Creek would be a much better value with much better greens, but no view.
