I put a cap of $25 when playing SewerCliffs. The greens are almost ALWAYS in great shape and today was no different but that's where the GOOD review ends. The fairways are still in rough shape. Ponding water and bare spots are abundant. Tee boxes are chewed up and slanted on some. I think it's just a matter of too many players on the course.

We teed off at 2pm and finished. (I did have to use a yellow ball on 18)

Played today at 10:30. Cannot beat the discount price for this course. The greens were done recently and they are 98% healed. They are in the best shape i have seen in a long time! The fairways are good. The rough was ROUGH. Some tee boxes need help and looks like they are doing a lot of work to make it better. Overall great time and this course is a narrow target course. Had a great Monday round!

Played on 9/29 sat. They had not started aerification on greens yet. Heard they might start week of Oct 1, but don't know for sure. Overall the course is in good condition for the weather. Greens are better than i expected. Boy, they are fast. Fairways are overall good, except we started seeing some bare areas or under repair area towards the back end of course. The course is short but the fairways are very narrow. If you like short course with target golf, you will like this course. But if you are about grip-n-rip-it golf, you will struggle.

Tee'd off at 9:45am this morning and finished in 4 hours. This is VERY good for this course. Just the luck of the draw today. The fairways are in great shape and even in this heat, the greens are in excellent shape! Only downside today was the fairways were wet! they are watering a lot because of the heat. I still think this is one of the best deals in OC. Through a discount tee time site, i ended up paying $11. That's cheaper than a bucket of balls at some courses! Even at $20 this is a bargain for what you get.

I've been playing Sewercliffs for about 5 years now. I've seen this course in a variety of conditions and I have to say it's in great shape!
Played yesterday mid morning. Perfect beachside temps, and speed of round was 4.5 hours.
Greens have never been in better shape. Very few divots. Not too soft. Just the right speed.
I'd give the fairways an above average rating - usually you get all kinds of dry spots, and patchy grass but they've done a heck of job growing out the grass.
If you haven't played it, it's easily the toughest "little" course in Orange County. Only 6200 yards from the tips but I've played with guys from the Nationwide tour that have had difficulty staying under par here.
Great value for beach-side golf.

I play Shorecliffs often, can't beat the specials! Anywhere from $15-$20 for a round with cart during the mornings. Best deal in town if you can deal with the occasional 5 hour long round. The front 9 is narrow and can be challenging. The fairways and greens are in great shape! The driving range is awful, that's the only downside.

Played today 6/26 at 3:30. Course was in great shape as far as Shorecliffs goes, which means the fairways were green, somewhat thin, along with the rough being thin, but overall fine. Greens were fantastic. They were smooth, no ball marks (maybe not alot of people hitting the green out here), medium-fast, consistent. The tee boxes are hit and miss with alot of them being somewhat unlevel. Overall it's always a great deal to play a course in O.C. close to the ocean with great weather and little crowd for under $20.

Played here for the first time. Front 9 is very challenging, with a lot of narrow fairways. Accuracy is more important than distance. The back 9 opens up more, with generally wider fairways and bail out areas.

I got a good deal on the rate, so if you can play here for under $30 or 40, it is definitely worth it. For more than that, especially with a long drive, I would probably look elsewhere.

The course was in very god shape, but the heat and sun looks like it might start taking a toll on the course as the summer wears on.
