Played the Ranch on 7/29 @ 10:35 as a twosome, black tees. Overall condition of the course was really good. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were pure, bunkers now have blinding white sand since the renovation (4th hole tee box has been completely rebuilt and sodded). There are some spots off the fairway were the rough can be pretty penal, I happened to find a few of these spots. Greens were firm, rolled very true, medium fast speed, ball held its line nicely. All in all no complaints, POP just over 4 hours.

My Dos Centavos, greens were all 3 putt potential, fast today (11-11.5 would be my guess), many undulations, and tiered. Firm and were not holding long irons for sure, short irons only if you can spin it. Sand was fluffy and white, one of my partners complained he was almost blinded from the sun reflection.

Did not eat brkfst there, but 19th hole was great. great customer service all around, from check in, to waitress. Marshal came around a few times, pleasant fellow with a heavy Tx drawl.

gymflake - you missed out on the Triple Play Special it includes Anaheim Hills, TR, and Dad Miller. Our green fee was - ready for this?????? $40. We played AH and got a chip, the chip gets you the discount. Unfortunately this promotion ends on the 30th. Put it in your calendars for next year. This is the second year we have enjoyed this promotion.

Got on today as a single paying the week in advance special rate $110.00. If you book a week in advance (ie pay for the round in advance) it's 110. otherwise it's $137.00. Starter basically got me out when ever I wanted! Super cool. The course has recovered well! The greens are in great shape. Being the first time it was hard to tell where to land the ball on the greens as many of them have multi tiered greens which I think is great! ( as long as you know where to try and go for!) The tee boxes were perfect, the fairways were a little dry and rolling out! I had to hit a few three woods on some of the holes! The web site gives a good description of each hole and there is a fly over for each as well. Good research. The bunkers, I was in two of them, were perfect. Super soft, fluffy sand. Just like Mission Hills CC Dinah Shore, in Rancho Mirage. In fact.... The whole course reminded me of the Westin at Mission Hills. Not to challenging of a course. Lots of tall palm trees around elevated greens... hmmmmm? The rough was minimum from what I could tell. ( A Moe Norman Quote here... Hey Moe.. How do you Hit out of the rough? .. "I don't know. Haven't' been there in years!" So the greens are a bit tricky and that's part of the fun of this course. (would take a few rounds to know where everything was.) The staff was excellent , from cart girl to waiter!! A+ for sure. The food there is very good. I had a egg sandwich with bacon to start and a Club sandwich with fries to end! With all this being said, I had a great golfing experience, except for one thing. $110? or $137? There is not much else in the way of golf in that area but that's a lot of mula for what you get in actual golf. I did get a free water in my cooler on my cart, but no Ice. By the way, the golf carts are by far the best I've seen. USB ports to charge your stuff, super comfy seats, and the GPS was right on, according to my Bushnell! Go play!! (if you wan to pay!)

Quiet Wednesday so we got out before our 9:28 tee time. First time I've played this course and I was surprised at the hills and contours. Tee boxes are all level and well maintained. Fairways are generally wide with generous landing zones. Sand in traps was wet but probably very soft and fluffy when dry. Greens still had some aeration marks that did not affect speed or roll. Several shots over water. I found this course very challenging. We got a promotional discount so the round was worth every cent we paid. Finished in four hours easily with a foursome ahead of us and no one behind us.

Played Sunday as a threesome (bday golf) with two of my friends. Teed off at 7:45 am, POP 4 hrs 5 minutes, only had to wait on a few holes, excellent POP. Going in I knew they had just punched the greens on 2-23/24, greens still needed a good 3-4 weeks to recover, very sandy, soft and bouncy. A couple green side bunkers on the back nine were under construction as well. Other than that the course was in really good condition, tee boxes level and tight, fairways firm and lush (a few bare/ hard pan areas). I must admit there bday special is awesome, bring a guest it's FREE or play solo and it's only $40 w/ cart, free range balls and a free lunch (killer menu, I went with the lamb burger on a brioche bun with hand cut fries). I'll be there again next year, now dropping $165 to play sat or sun I'll pass on that in a heartbeat.

Played here 1/18/15 using my oc trails discount and came away with mixed feelings. First we sent get a true 50%discount because they charged us a cart charge which was kinda cheesy and to many holes are cart path only for my liking also many traps on the course are being redone. I'm not saying we should have gotten a bigger discount but it would have been nice if they had told us up front. This definitely a nice course and customer service is very nice but the fairways were very hard the greens didn't seem to hold even shorter shots. I didn't see much rough but it seemed fair and when we found traps with sand in them it was good quality. The day we played the GPS units were set for different pins than we saw and thatat wasn't a big help . I'm not sure I really like this course that much and I'm sure it isn't worth upwards of 200.00 not in the condition it was in the today anyway. If you have never played this track and can n get a deal it's probably worth trying but to day it wasn't in great shape and I would wait a month or so. On a personal note if you have trouble walking you might want to ask about it before you play this course has a bunch of cart path only areas and they mess with your cart electronically if you go into them

Hey fellow golfers. I played this course on a birthday special, Jan 10th. Met another birthday golfer and we played together so the 2 of us had a good time. It was worth the "birthday" deal but not the regular rate. Pace of play was good that day but that's because of the threat of rain, I guess. The tee boxes were ok. All of them had flat lies. That's hard to find on most public courses. The fairways were dormant but good enough to hit shots and had some roll if you have a low ball flight, which I do not. The greens were the best part. They were on the small side but rolled well and had movement in them. The greens are the only thing that make this course hard. You got to know them and hit them in the right spot. The bunkers were good as well. I'll be back next year if they don't raise their birthday rate. They give you a nice lunch and range balls along with the deal. Enjoy.

Played Tustin Ranch for the first time and it was a mixed bag. A friend is a 'member' there and I thought that would be a much better deal than the $137 it cost for a Sunday morning. I would say in perfect condition it might be worth that, but certainly not for where it currently stands. And even at that hefty price we still had to pay for range balls to warm up. Is it bad? No, not by any means, but that's a high price to pay for dormant fairways and crazy greens. The greens are actually in terrific shape, but my goodness they are confusing and impossible to read. Fast? Yes. Tricky? Yes. Maybe it's down to my putting, but I never have more than 2 3-putts in a round, and that day I had 9. 9! Again, probably just down to my poor day. The fairways are playable, but again, very dry and burned out. Similar fairways would be totally acceptable at an LA Muni for $40 or something, but not for this place. Tee boxes, rough and sand were all good. And as for the layout, well it's pretty darn good - can't deny that. I really want to come back during optimal conditions and maybe midweek where the price isn't so steep. When you pay a big greens fee and have an incredibly lousy round, it sours the taste. This review is not one to discourage at all I hope, but I just expect a lot nicer for that price. If money is no object and you're fine with pretty blah fairways, it's just fine for you. And by the way, the closing holes on the front and back are both pretty excellent. Actually, there are a lot of fun holes to be fair. No issues at all with the course itself.

Took advantage of the birthday special today. I have been playing here Christmas morning for the past several years. I've watched the price go from $0.00 to $25 and now $40. While still a fantastic deal, I'm curious what it will be next year?

The course was really in nice condition, with a few holes still having "cart path only" perhaps due to the recent rains? The bunkers on the front nine have the nice white silica sand and are excellent. The back side are just "OK". Greens rolled true, but not as fast as I would have preferred. Kevin in the pro shop was very nice and got me out first thing so I could get around and return home to the family to begin Christmas. Had to promise not to interfere with maintenance, otherwsie I would have been done much sooner.
