I like this course very much. I notice that some people have said its beat up, but for the price and location i think it is pretty well kept. For under 50 dollars on the weekend i'm not sure what other courses around my area beat that. But i want to aggree with one guy who made the comment about the Cranky old snack stand lady. Wow i laugh every time. That woman clearly hates her job.

played the course in just 3 1/2 hrs...the greens looked great..but they were BUMPY...they just need to be rolled and they would have been perfect.....

Today the greens looked fine. But when you roll the ball the ball slides, slips, and sometimes hops. It is frustrating when you have a short putt and the ball moves very suddenly off line. The greens here need to be rolled. But given that it is an inexpensive course I doubt that that will happen. It was still fun trying to get that ball in the hole in as few strokes as possible......few? Did you say few? more like..many today!

First of all, if you enjoy the game of golf, this course is not the place for you. The type of people this course attracts just boggle my mind. The ironic thing is they are not punks, they "look" like golfers, older golfers. This is the second time I played here, and almost got killed twice today. One on the 18th hole, were the party behind me decided to tee off while I was JUST cleared to shoot my second balls. Hence, it was not me (nor anybody) slow playing. NO MARSHALL on the course.

Played for the 1st time, close to work. Got a deal from donovandaily.com, $25, hotdog,soda,cart..can't beat it. Anyway, first time I finished a round under 4 hours. It's a beat up course and you get what you pay for, but it is a decent course and you get your golf fill..cheap. I was surprised though by the old gal at the snack shop..cranky..cranky..cranky.. As far as offering any tips..all the holes play the same..they're all straight and wide..you can't lose a ball here..there are no water hazards..I'm a 15 handicap and I shot a 77 here for the first time..I did notice that the back nine we were playing into the wind that added a little challenge..but for a decent golfer this place is very easy..

Played 3/14. The greens are s-l-o-w. The fairways are coming back from winter conditions. Can't complain too much for $16 afternoon rate.

Played Willowick in the middle of the day on 3/3/07. Fairways were pretty much hard as a rock and definately in "winter condition". Sand traps were in great condition and you do not want to get into them. These might be some of the toughest bunkers in O.C. Greens were in pretty good shape, about half of them were a little bumpy, but (for the amount of play they get) hardly any ball marks.
The employees were friendly and courteous. This course was very enjoyable and I will definately be playing it again soon.

You don't really play willowick for the excellent conditions (the fairways are pretty much brown, the greens are a bit bumpy). you play for the good times a classic old muni offers -- wide fairways, generous sized greens, and old, mature trees which make you suffer if your ball lands anywhere near them with their big branch overhangs). As usual, it's very easy to play on the weekdays. walk on after 2pm and you will finish if you're fast enough.

Fast, fun and east to get out as a "walk on"
