First off on a really cold morning. Borderline frost conditions. (South course closed till 8am due to frost) Because of the combination of the dry conditions due to the winds, coupled with them rolling the greens, they were stupid fast! Anything above the hole was dead! Fairways dry but very good. Nice to get some early morning roll for a change. Bunkers as always are hit or miss. They are planning to redo all the bunkers on the North in 2017, so we'll see what that means?

Early morning winter conditions are tough everywhere, but I have more difficulty on this course than most. Ball does not carry in frigid weather and I need every yard to score here.

Thanks to the time change, able to get out early on a very warm windy autumn morning. Because of the winds, fairways ere actually dry an provided some roll out. Greens also were dry and had just been cut, so rolled very well and were rather quick. Some of the down hill putts were almost impossible to stop from rolling past the cup several feet. Fairways looking good, as are the tee boxes, and the majority of the rough.

Since I always play super early, I rarely play in dry conditions, and almost never with any wind. Not today. The dry fairways provided some nice extra roll, but with the wind in your face, course played very differently. That's what makes golf so much fun. You can play the same course over and over, but change weather conditions, pin positions, coupled with the lies you get in the fairway/rough, it never gets old. I love it!

The greens have almost completely healed and have regained all their speed. They were cut/rolled and are running very smooth right now. Fairways have plenty of grass and are green - lots of water being dumped on them. Still, as always some issues with the bunkering, kind of a hit or miss situation.

Still waiting for tee markers to be replaced, which were removed when all the tees were rebuilt during the summer. They were supposed to be in during August??

Got a chance to play here on 8/31, sorry for the late review.... First off this place is exactly what you expect. Course is beautiful and in good shape even with cuts on water for summer. Play challenging with narrow fairways at times and very was greens. I was a little worried about the private country club rules and high brow antics but was treated warm and welcomed. Everyone playing seemed happy and relaxed. Pace of play mid week was fantastic and we were able to sneak on and play about 11 holes of the south course after we finished our afternoon round. Our member treated us to a great dinner in the clubhouse which had a great family atmosphere. Can't wait to play again. Snack shack makes a great John Daly!

I had planned to play the South course this morning, but learned that the North will be closed all next week because they will of aerification of the greens, tee boxes, fairway and rough. Seems that is always the case; just when the course is at it's best, they schedule heavy maintenance.

As my prior review indicates, course is in really nice shape right now, although the green speed was a little slower than my last round. To my surprise the course was not very crowded, as I expected everyone to get out before the course closes for a week.

The MGA Golf Invitational was scheduled for this morning with a 9 o'clock shotgun. I knew that if I went off at 6am, even walking I could easily beat the shotgun. I had quite a bit of maintenance to deal with for the first four holes, then once I got in front of them, it was clear sailing.

Greens have been rolled a couple times this week, so they were much faster than normal. Good thing I was in front of the cutters, otherwise I can't imagine how quick they will be later. As expected, the course is in very nice shape right now, with the exception of a few greenside bunkers. (Always an issue) Near perfect conditions: a bit cool when I started, but it warmed up nicely, plus the brisk walk to stay ahead of maintenance tends to keep one warm.

It was my first time to play here last Thursday and I don't know where to begin my awe-inspired experience on this course. Ladies and Gents, this here is a heluva course! And from tee to green, with the exception of a few bunkers up front 9, were just in fabulous shape. If you can envision it without any structures, it has a feel of openness links if you will.
General breaks of the greens? I will never ask that question ever again...most especially after the third hole. But if you ever have a chance to get on this course, drop everything and go.

Our foursome, three in a cart and a walker were clocked at 1 hour and 28 minutes in front nine, but came off the 18th at 3 hours and 35 minutes. We could have been in earlier, but a graeat pace overall, I thought.

Also, a 7.1 is about correct, however, I'd like to bump it up to an 8 or an 8.5 without going overboard in my opinion. I just loved their greens and running fairways- its quality is in such good playing condition, but I have a feeling that it isn't the courses' best and most probably had and would be much better (just a haunch). Besides that, it is a huge-huge course covered in grass. For them to have all 18 holes in a consistent good playing conditions is overwhelming. ... I could only dream of coming back so I'll be on my best behavior wit my guys. :)

All the new tee boxes have now grown in and feel natural again. The recent heat has also helped the Bermuda to take hold.

With sunrise now so "late" it's tough to get out before maintenance, so I have "company" on almost every hole now, at least until the time change

Otherwise the greens have long since healed from the June punching as have the fairways. The recent heat wave has not caused any browning because they are keeping the course pretty wet. (I fight the sprinklers every morning) Now if they would only address the sand in the greenside bunkers?
