I played Thursday and had a 7:30 tee time which I had booked on Golfnow. When I got to the course the pro shop told me it was a shotgun start and cart path only. First I heard of it. Anyway, I love the course layout. Plenty of room to drive the ball. Big greens. Water hazards that add intrigue, but are far enough away to punish shots that deserve to be punished. Typical "coming out of overseeding" conditions with fairway and rough a little longer than usual and greens a little slower than they feel and look like. A lot of people were walking the course, which you don't see too often in the Palm Springs area. It's not the most memorable course I've ever played, but I had fun and would play it again.

Keep in mind this is the first day open out of re seeding. The rating reflects mainly the greens.
The ENTIRE course is extremely lush (as expected), and green, with varying thickness of grass over seed.
Perfectly manicured and well presented.
The issue currently is the greens, and as time passes, this issue will dissipate.
Stimping at about 5 !! there are still some bare patches growing in with the corresponding bumps, but all were soft. By mid November, all should be in top shape.
Great staff, bar, prac-fac and layout made the 4+30 round for us 4 visitors worth it.
We played October 31, 1300 shotgun, with Halloween drag in tow.

Greens perfect, fairways & rough- lush with some browning beginning, tees-all good, sand-good.
Fun and enjoyable layout with great staff and solid facilities.
After 4 hours golfing we were done at 1045.

Overall good condition. Some bare/dry areas in fairways, but mostly lush. Rough is very good; green and thick. Bunkering work is completed and healing well. Greens, having been cored a few weeks ago, are filling in and still bumpy and slow, but good shape. All sand good, as are the tees. 3 of us teed off 0700 and by 1030, done.
Nice staff throughout, lots of drinks cart passes and rest areas/water stations.
Good prac-fac and grill. Lots of deals there now. Enjoy

First off this morning with 4 of us, easy pace (3+15) on a well manicured presentation. Overall - GOOD. The bunkers haven't gotten any better since Weber played; still need attention. Work is being conducted on some new bunkering; holes 5, 6 for now- more later.
Some bare patches on the thinning fairways, running long, rough was good and lush. Greens were magnificent, true, smooth, fast and firm for that time of day. Tee boxes were well used but working on moving the divot areas. A nice challenge for the price. Staff and support - excellent.

Have not played here since 2000. I did not remember the course very well, so almost like playing for the first time. Overall the course was in very nice condition, with the exception of the greenside bunkers. Terrible - just way over-watered, almost like playing from mud.

Staff was great and being first off, pace of play was not an issue. Enjoyed the course, but it was not memorable. So I suspect the next time I come back, it will again feel like the first time I've played here?

Three of us teed off 0638 today. Brisk pace on 3 hours. Well manicured nicely presented layout with moderate speed of the soft greens. Sand was good. The rye is starting to begin to fade out with new growth coming in of Poa and some other grasses throughout the course. Great morning all around. More deals are presenting themselves for DFCC on golfnow.com, deal caddy, and group golfer. Worth a look. Really do make time for the 19th hole.

Updating my reviews below, the lushness of the entire course remains; a joy to view while playing. Greens have increased speed and firmness, and remain true and smooth, holding moderately and making approaches focused. One club around here with some of the nicest staff you will have the pleasure of dealing with; friendly, kind and helpful. Very good prac-fac and clubhouse amenities, make it a well attended and busy club. Enjoy.
