This is a review from last Saturday 10/25. Itslikeimsayin and I played here as a quick warm-up before PGA West. $25 included cart. Only a handful of folks out, so we followed behind another twosome and finished 9 holes in a nice pace starting around 8:15. Guy working the community gate was a little weird, but the guy in the pro shop was super duper nice and welcoming. He even gave me a free logo ball when I told him it was my first time here. The course had just reopened the day before after the overseed and overall was in pretty solid shape. Everything pretty shaggy and slow, but good for the most part. The bunkers looked pretty terrible, but I did not find any of them thankfully. One temporary issue is that the par-4 4th hole was completely washed out by the freak September storm, so it looks like a war zone and is currently closed. Luckily, they just happen to have a bonus "alternate" par-3 hole for community residents that they are playing for the next few weeks. It's actually one of the better holes here, so it's a shame it's not in the normal routing and I'm not sure the history behind it. As it is temporarily, the course is a par-34 instead of the normal par-35 for nine holes. This is an OK little course. A couple of narrow tee shots, but mostly pretty straightforward and easy. It's pretty short, so all you need is to get off the tee safely to have a good approach in. Good for a warm-up round if you don't have time for a full 18 as it probably never gets too crowded and most players are just the senior residents of the little Ivey Ranch community.
