Played Eagle Glen on 3/22/2015 and had a good time. Course condition was good with fast rolling greens and breaks that you think are there but aren't. Several sands traps throughout the course looks like they were under repair. However you can see the start of conservation of watering in prep for the summer.

Played there this afternoon. It's like playing links golf on the side of a mountain. Good roll on hard fairways that let your tee shot roll off the course thru the rough (as there is none) and into the canyons. Half the bunkers were GUR. I just hope the rain we get the next few days help.

This course continues to impress. I am one who seeks out a challenge and from the black tees this is a course where strategy comes into play more than not. From three-shot par 5s, to tricky short yet bent par 4s, this course can ruin you if you aren't careful.

The course plays very firm with drives running out on some downslopes giving you 300+ yd drives. On this same note this creates a conundrum when trying to get good position on greens. Running very fast (10-12 on the stimp) you absolutely cannot leave yourself with a downhill or sweeping putt. Three putts will eat you on the larger greens, and the smaller greens will repel your ball with ferocity.

Very fun course that is, in my opinion, the best among the Southern Corona courses.

POP was good at 4:15 overall I would go back, np

My usual disclaimer - I know, we're in a drought. But you should still know course is dry (there - said it). Rough non-existent as a result, except round greens where it is patchy to lush and tangly. Also lots of bushy dormant bermuda lies around greens - so you know how fun that can be.

Tees were good but I played the blacks. Fairways semi-dormant, thin, dry (said it again) and hard. Greens are fine looking but with a few bobbles (quick downhill and slow uphill - play the terrain to measure your breaks). Sand is good for the most part, but there are a number of traps that they have given up on and are marked as GUR (esp. on 13 - never understood why those fairway traps were there anyway). Those traps are 'dry' (oops - again). I would rate about 6.5-7 right now. Have at it.

Well I was played yesterday on the 2nd and it was OK. The weather was good for golfing. I like some if this greens there because its flat and my chipin is easy on long chips because my long puts are very bad these days. I like it and it was a fun time. This greens have some ball marks but I fixed most of them. The fairways are mostly hard pan with some divot holes. Thanks

Not sure what is going on here. This use to be one of my go to courses but since they got a new GM a few months ago it is slowly going down hill. For example, 2 of friends called Tues night and wanted to go somewhere. I called the course at 6:30 while we were eating breakfast and they said come on out, no problem. They were correct, course was almost empty and never really saw another group close. Course is hard, dry, and fast. Bunkers are nice raked dirt and rough is non existent, greens are hard and bumpy. Maybe it's the winter weather but other courses aren't as bad. I would wait for a couple of months to go and hope that mother nature is kind and the course comes back. It is definitely not worth the green at this time. I remember when you had to call at least 3 days in advance to get a tee time and now you can almost walk on. Not a good sign.

I am not going to rate this visit as it was a day after the rain, and this place (especially the holes that play near the mountain slopes) is usually hit hard. So just so you know, it is particularly marshy in spots, especially 1-7, as well as 11 and 16. With more rain forecast expect the hilly parts of the course to remain this way for a while.

That said, easy enough to drop out of casual water and find a clean spot, and the greens were pretty firm all things considered.

I always enjoy playing here and seem to play well on the course. Played at 9:20AM on Friday, 12/5/14, on a warm/cool, sunny/cloudy day with little wind. Booked on Golfnow for $55 and the pro shop guy dropped it to $40 as I was a senior - BOO-YAH! That's worth a big 'attaboy'! The course was busy but not crowded - things jammed up a little bit on the back side behind a fivesome(!) and we wound up getting thru in ~4.5 hr.

I was paired with two contractors playing golf while their employees worked. They were friendly but mostly consumed with their money match and talking on the phone - I swear one of them made or took more than 100 calls during our round. The other had music playing on his phone the entire round. The joys of playing as a single!!

Eagle Glen was in good condition after the recent rains. Greens were very good - a little soft, accepted shots easily, rolled well at medium speed. Good lies in the fairways - a few (par 5s) were more wet than other holes and may have been getting some kind of treatment. Rough has been allowed to grow a little the past few months to cut down on the runoffs into bordering hazard areas - however, the rough grass is pretty gnarly and requires a firm hand to hit/chip from. Many fairway traps are still being revitalized and are marked as GUR. Many of the tees seemed to be recently punched and were wet/soft, giving unsure footing.

There were many areas around the course plagued by lots of divots in the fairways and rough. We tried to address as many as we could and also hit up the marshall for extra sand. Refill station after #10 was almost empty and what bottles remained were soaked and sand unusable. I was glad to see a maintenance worker on #13 filling divots - it looks like the course could use a full-time guy(s) for that. Most greens had 5-10 unrepaired ball marks.

Course is in good condition. Go play it.
