This is always a fun course to play, and the staff is always very accomodating in allowing me to get out first thing as a single. I try to play here a few times a year and am never disappointed.

The overall condition is very good. I found the greens to be excellent and roll very true. Also very receptive to well struck shots. Greenside bunkers were fantastic. (At these the two found myself in) They have closed several of the blue tee boxes for over seeding, so they was combined them with the black tees. (Makes for a bit longer course)

There are just a number of really nice holes on this course. The course does not require you to do anything spectacular to be able to put a good score on the card (If you play the correct tees) Not overly penal, but can bite you if you hit a poor shot, which is the way it's supposed to be.

I played here last Tuesday, 8/26 and course is in excellent condition. Tight lies in fairways as the drought continues, quite a few bunkers marked GUR as they are digging them out and getting ready for sand. Greens were the best I have seen, could not even find a ball mark that needed fixing. It seems like the golfers here fix there ball marks. I know last week at Goose Creek, I would fix 2-3 a green and we teed off at 7 and already ball marks. Thanks all you Eagle Glen golfers for fixing your ball marks.

The last couple reviews really hit it on the head. Course is in really good shape right now. Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent shape. Greens here are TOUGH but very, very receptive. POP was right about 4:15. I wish I would have read the tips before as the breaks are very deceiving. Rolling pretty quick as well. Don't be afraid to attack some of the pins as the greens welcome any well struck ball. Some bunkers were marked GUR and were my only gripe. One in particular on hole 4 had standing water and should have been marked GUR. The one I was was very, very hard and filled with small rocks ready to wreak havoc on your clubs. The course is a blast to play though! Front nine is target golf where a 4 or 5 iron will soon become your best friend. Leave the woods in the bag as the course isn't terribly long and calls for accuracy. The course opens up a ton on the back but if you want to score well be sure to stick to the same gameplan as the front. The wide fairways and landing areas are really only there to entice you to try and break out the big stick only to find yourself in the junk and hitting 3. For the rate, layout, and conditions, I will definitely be back!

Played here today for the first time in years, and I thought the course was in the best shape I have seen it. Pace of play was slow at first, but the Marshall was on top of things and got it moving along. Had a slow group, but they were letting other play through. They play only the front nine and then quit. We finished in 4:45, so not bad. Tee boxes - good shape, not much damage and overall pretty level. Fairways - some spots in the morning were wet, while other spots were dry. Very playable and in overall good shape. Rough - not much to speak of and not very penalizing. Greens - best part of the course, med-fast and would hold shots. A few unrepaired ball marks, but not anything out of the normal for any course. Greens can be hard to read. Everything breaks away from the hills , even if it looks like it will break up hill. Bunkers - green side, not bad, course sand. Fairways lots of bigger rocks and one that should have been marked under repair, with dirt and weeds growing in it. Overall I had a blast. Fun course.

Went out this morning at 9:30 and eating lunch at 1:30, a little over 3 1/2 hours. Not bad for a Friday. Greens were quick but held shots if hit correctly and bunkers were a mix of good and bad. I was in 2 with sand and 1 with raked dirt. They are working on several bunkers and have them marked GUR. Fairways could use water but what fairways can't in this drought but a lot of run on them, just have to guage what club to hit off of tee. Will be back as this is a fun course to play. I think anyone should be able to enjoy it. Good golfer or bad.

Played 36 holes today with Sbogey (first time for either of us at this course). Played the Blues the first round and the whites the 2nd round.....totally different club selections when playing whites...I prefer the layout from blues. Okay...so about the course.

I liked the layout, the front 9 plays much slower than the back 9 due to the driving you have to do from Green to tee.

Bunkers - some are in pretty sad shape, and if you like your clubs, you might consider playing it as ground under repair.

Fairways - pretty thin with hard ground under...tricky playing on it 100yds and in....but do-able.

Greens - tricky and some are HUGE!...but outstanding condition.

Restrooms - not a lot out on this course....so plan accordingly as you do not pass by the clubhouse at the turn.

Animals - saw at least a dozen deer out there today just enjoying the course....way cool.

Cart service was good and the club house is very comfortable.

I really liked this place and cant wait to take Tobi out there.

Big thanks to dconnally and HmtGolfGuy for their spot on reviews of Eagle Glen this week, it helped me pick my Friday course to play and was sure glad I made the 50 minute drive. If you've played here you know the customer service is top notch, they have a fantastic clubhouse and restaurant, and a nice grass range ... far and away better than any Riverside area golf course for it's price range. The best part is that now, with a new GM that's been there 5-6 months I hear, the course is on par with the rest of the facility. There is not one complaint I can find about the Eagle, none (read dconnally's review). There are a few dirt areas in a few fairways but they took the time to mark them as GUR ... few courses do that anymore. Major kudos. Greens were cut and rolled to perfection with very few unrepaired pitch marks, as good as any greens I've played on this year. The bunkers I visited were well maintained but I did see my playing partners in a couple that were semi-crusty, so I guess that could be one noticeable flaw right now. The course is a very aesthetic and challenging layout from the blacks with some dramatic elevation changes that begin on the very first hole. Very large greens without the WTF undulations (except maybe #15) you get at the Retreat which is just over the hill, and it's a much more manageable course which is good for mid to high handicapers. We got around in 4.5 hours (their goal for a round of golf) with minimal waiting, the marshal was herding the cats best he could. Some good deals right now, mine was an email special: $35 w/cart and an opportunity to save a few bucks on food and beverage which I didn't take advantage of due to the drive home (70 minutes). I would say that right now, this is easily the best deal I've seen in SoCal, even better than the $44 rate on the Babe at IH. Their weekend rates can get a bit pricey but deals are out there, just got to look. For me, the drive is the only pain but EG is worth it. Highly recommended.

PLAY THIS COURSE RIGHT NOW!!! I've never seen Eagle Glen in better shape and conditions are great!! Played at 10:20AM on Wednesday, 7/23/14, with HmtGolfGuy in our GK Cup Match Play 6 semifinal. It was a hot sunny day with a light breeze to take the edge off the heat. EG is about halfway between our locations, and I got an email blast from them for rounds M-TH for $45, including lunch or a sleeve of balls. Ron went for the sleeve, I had the club sandwich afterward (very good). A very good deal! Almost everything was great at EG today - minor things were no defined bag drop (lug your own bag or drop it in the lot outside the gate, unattended[!]) [maybe you can bring a cart out to your car after check-in], some bunkers are being rehabbed and are marked GUR. Otherwise, great conditions and good scoring conditions. The whole course looked great - fairways were green with good coverage, cut tight but firm and great to play from. Greens were also almost pristine, with great grass coverage, almost no ball marks, and accepted shots and rolled well at medium speed. Tee boxes were level and in good condition. I wasn't in a bunker, but Ron hit a couple shots from them and it looked like sand coverage and condition were good. (Shop told me that some bunkers on the back nine are still being repaired [GUR] after a washout late last winter.) Rough was cut low (almost like the fairways) and was firm and provided good lies. The fairway/rough areas were marked where the course plans to start growing the rough a little deeper to reduce some of the runoffs from the slopes that send balls into the ESAs. Pro shop and cart staff were great. Saw the cart girl several times. Plenty of water provided on the course. Large practice putting area, range on grass, good GPS in carts. Overall a very good golf experience. Highly recommended right now.

Course was in excellent shape, only thing that was less than ideal were some tight lies on the fairways due to the heat and drought, but that's common right now and really nitpicking. Greens were outstanding, VERY few ball marks, pretty receptive and rolled great - started out a little slow but got faster as the temp went up. Saw the cart girl about 4 times and she was uncommonly respectful and courteous, waited quite some distance away while we were hitting.

Guy behind the desk was great, gladly provided tips on the course which were spot-on.

First time here, but will definitely be back!
