Played on June 27 and pleased to find the course in very good condition. Some posts have suggested the course was lacking with new ownership, but I didn't find that to be the case. There are some areas that are under repair, very small area on the par 5 12th, other than that the course was like always. Good fairways, quick smooth greens, rough that was fair, and all but one teebox was flat and not badly chewed up. The course should still be re-rated so there is a split between the tips(6900 yards) and next set of tees (6290 yards) and this can be done with any chznges to the course just the scorecard. Three or four holes would play from gold tees instead of black and you would have about a 6500 yard layout. Unless that happens some holes are just to long to play for most average golfers, or those that can't hit a 270 yard drive and 230+ 3-wood. I haven't posted a score on this course for almost 2 years because I play from gold teebox on 3 holes and black on the rest. Still a great track, good conditioning, nice environment away from city traffic and encroaching housing developments.

Wow, A course G.M. that doesn't use an alias to toot his own horn (Sierra Lakes), I'm impressed. I played 6/18 and the course is trying to improve. But I see three issues that aren't being addressed. First, no snack bar on the course (#10 is far from the clubhouse), on a hot day one can get very thirsty. Second (and part of #1), didn't see a cart girl. Lastly, the entire course has very few yardage makers, even if they marked the cart path, it would help. Of these three....they really should invest in a snack bar on the course, afterall it would generate more income and take care of those who still play here.

I played Eagle Glen today, I have read a few of the reviews below and have issues with some of them. First off Eagle Glen is 5 minutes from Trilogy and Dos Lagos. That said its our opinion that the folks that think a course is a course are playing Dos Lagos to save $10. We have done Dos Lagos one time, we wont go back, we think its a mess of a course,,, but if it clears up EG and Trilogy thats a good thing. The greens were VERY good today, fast and tricky, no sand, no bare spots, held shots nicely. The fairways are a bit rough in spots, it was 100 degrees today, the grass will get beat up. Everything else on the course was very good, speed of play was just right. Senior rate of $45 is right on, worth it for sure. NOW FOR the COMPLAINTS, or better yet words of advice. I HAVE never before counted range balls, but when we put or $5 coin in the machine and 29 thats twenty nine balls dropped out we looked at each other and laughed our butts off,, one of the guys kept pushing the button, maybe the machine was broken,, not so. Now we usually dont think about $5 too much but this is stupid cheap. 2 breakfast burritos and 2 cokes $22 BEFORE TIP. a SIXPACK OF BUD LIGHT,, $25.... We did not go into the clubhouse to have a sandwich or a libation after the round, We posted and went down to Toms Place. Great course, good service, they think they are the 4 Seasons, soooo bring your own stuff.

This was the first time I've played Eagle Glen. I was very impressed with the service. The course was ok. I was supprised to see the poor condition of some areas, but overall, it was ok. The fairways were soaked and mushy. The greens were hard and a little sandy and the pace was over 6 hours. This is sounding like a bad review, but I still enjoyed the round. The bar in the club house is great.

Played twilight, 6/12. Good deal. Nice day. Is it rough around the edges? YES! Are they making an effort to improve? YES. Many areas have new sod...play them as GUR. Could they give the marshalls some white spray paint and have them use it on the rough spots instead of picking balls out of the junk? Absolutely!! But all in all, it's a nice place and twilight rates are very attractive. Greens are very nice for public golf and for the most part if you keep your ball in the short grass, you'll be ok.

Course has gone down hill. The fairways were ok, the greens were ok and the course was just ok. I played here a year ago and the course was in great shape. I have played on $30.00 courses that were in similar shape. I will wait awhile before playing again.
No more free range balls.

Hadn't played this course in nearly 3 years and wished I hadn't played it today. It is just awful. Fairways have clumps of mixed grass in many areas. Rough is non-existent. There are many bald spots where large (>>yards) of sod have just been removed. This course has some intertesting and challenging holes. When its conditions were A1, it was a pleasure to play. Now it is overgrown and is just another cow pasture - no better that the many second class muni courses throughout Southern California. Definitely not worth the drive.

Played on Memorial Day. Course is just ok. Greens were way too slow. I play muni courses with faster greens. Front nine and back nine are totally different. We played early so the GPS pin locations weren't updated until the back nine. First time I played here in about 6 years and I won't be back again for a while. (unless they roll the greens)
We did play in under 4 1/2 hrs so that was a plus.

My group played on Saturday midday. We went out right on time and finished exactly when the starter told us we would. Under 5 hours.

My group played on Saturday midday. We went out right on time and finished exactly when the starter told us we would. Under 5 hours.
I have read some of the other reviews and don't get it. This place is excellent and for the money it can't be beat. The course is challenging, and in nice shape, especially if you put the ball where you are supposed to. Greens were quick and not bumpy at all.
We saw rangers everywhere and two different cart girls were all over us. Service was excellent in the proshop. Nice young guy (Dan or Dave) and Lisa took our order in the bar and was very funny.
I noticed they have new TVs since we were here last. We had a great day. This place is way better than the expensive OC courses we play and for about 1/2 the price.
Count on my group to be back again and again.
