I have to wonder where DConnely was and was it the smoke from fires that Eagle Glen couldn't control that caused this rating? I have played this course on a regular basis and thought it to be a wonderful course. Yes they don't offer GPS, but everyone who plays gets a yardage book that I have always enjoyed more than GPS. I will continue to play this course until someone shows me something better for the money you pay.

It seems that D had a bad experience at the Eagle. I played on 10/29 and yes they were still in the process of overseeding (like most courses right now), but the course was not as bad as he stated. The tee boxes were a little furry and the fairways had some bare spots, but the greens were firm & fast, but held mid and short iron shots. Give the Eagle another couple of weeks and it will be back to the condition we are used to. Is it worth the $46 (click4teetimes) IMO YES.

A nice course with many challenges, but too expensive for what you get. Played 10/26/03, with course smoky and hazy from all the SoCal wildfires. No GPS, no club cleaner or ballwasher, and very little water available on the course, for a high end green fee. Course makes good use of foothill/canyon terrain in variety of holes, especially on the front nine. Many forced carries, and hole number 9 was shoehorned into an area too small for the type of hole envisioned, and is basically unfair unless you can hit it 260 yards dead straight in a severe crosswind along the top of a hogback ridge. Recently aerated, so less than desirable condition in some fairway areas, but greens were generally firm and fast – don’t be above the hole on the front side! Slow play that you find at almost any course now – group in front of us appeared to be well behind, but didn’t see a marshall on the back side at all. Played with a 50% off coupon – wouldn’t go back, otherwise. You can get more value elsewhere.

Played as a 4-some on Sat. 9/20 behind 3-some and in front of 3-some. A-holes behind us were ticked off that they had to wait for us every single hole, go figure. Marshall gave us an attitude on 17 saying we were holding up the whole golf course. Teed off of 18 with 3-some in front of us still on green. Need better marshalls without the attitude!! Other than that, course (fairways & greens) were in great shape...

When this course is in good shape, it is well worth the money. It is in pretty bad shape. Th heat has taken its toll on the course. The sandtraps were really bad. It was 1/2 inch of sand on top of Extremely hard packed sand. It made for a lot of skulled sand shots. Greens were in fair shape.

Course is usually in pretty good shape although greens can get firm in the summertime when temperatures are high. Only drawback is the length of the rounds at Eagle Glen - 5 hours is pretty standard and many times it takes longer than that to finish (its even true for midweek rounds!)
