Out visiting relatives and decided to play Oak Valley as they will be hosting second stage PGA Q-school in a week or two. First time playing there and joined locals Bob & Ray. They are brother in laws who only have been playing for 6 months, great guys who did not effect my scoring. Anyway back to the course. Fairways a little rough maybe due to still growing in from over seeding but this does not really hurt your lies. Greens ran smooth even though punch holes were still healing. What I liked, no unrepaired ball marks! I enjoyed the course, playing partners and a 4 hour round on the nose! Would very much recommend a round at OV.

Played this course last week and had no real complaints. The service was fair but not excellent. The conditions were nice after they had just opened from their over seed but not spectacular. I had higher expectations from this course. I would return to play this course only if the other courses I play were full.

What a beautiful layout. This course could be a gem but needs lots of work. Staff was not very friendly, but they did have great food.

great course, challenging from the blue tees!!! a bit pricey for the long drive out there...they need to have some deals to make it worth the drive next time....

Played afternoon, Saturday May 10th.

Started out w/ lunch in the clubhouse. My mother-in-law had a chicken tortilla soup that she thought was excellent. Myself and my 2 playing partners all had the Oak Valley Special - a burger w/ bacon and mushrooms. All the food was very good, I'd eat there again for sure.

Now on to the important stuff, the course.

this course is in AMAZING shape right now. tee boxes were all in phenomenal condition, greens were in excellent shape, and the fairways were nearly spotless as well....even the rough was well taken care of...i'm not sure i've played a course that was in better shape in my 5 years of playing in southern california.

great job oak valley staff!!!

early a.m. tee time on May 3. The course is in A condition. Everything is working well here right now - even the grill in the clubhouse. They have a new asian chef, and she personally came out and offered us a sample of a chicken cutlet dish. It tasted great. The service here really stands out, and that is what makes it a first rate facility. They don't waste any money on the fluff; they put it into the golf course, and it shows. It was beautiful day; it probably never got warmer than 80 degrees. If you're a serious player, this is the place to enjoy right now.
