Played for the first time 11/03 and was the first guy out (6:42).. I never saw another golfer on the course and the conditions were great (they should be, as they hold one of the q school stages in two weeks).. also the staff here is top-notch. Gil in the pro shop gave me a nine-hole raincheck because i had to dodge the groundscrew and sprinklers (q school prep stuff) and Lee in the barn went out of his way to help me after i boneheadedly locked my keys in the car... I'm going to make the hour+ drive at least once a month now... btw i got around in 2:45

Played 10-16-09 at 1PM. Green fee: $45 (twilight). Very warm and breezy. October is the worst month to play this course and yet is still great! Tees, fairways, and bunkers are coming into shape and posed no problems. Greens are still coming out of overseeding/aeration and are a little bumpy and slow. Temporary green on #8. Cart girl came around 1 time. The excellent design and beautiful landscaping of this course make it worth playing even when it is not at its best!

played morning of Oct 17. They're done w the overseed and aeration, but the course is in terrible shape. They're supposedly getting it ready for QSchool in mid-Nov, but right now, I can't see it all. I would strongly recommend avoiding this facility for at least 2-3 more weeks. The tee boxes are hairy as hell, the fairways are like the first cut of rough, and the rough in many areas is 5+ inches high. The greens on the front 9 are slow and bumpy, and many of the bunkers don't have any sand. Plus, there's a temp green on one of the holes. This always has been one of the best maintained courses in SoCal, but right now, it is pitiful. If you do choose to play out here, stock up on refreshments for your cart because there is no beverage cart service. It was a beautiful day, so that was a plus, but the course conditioning was just awful.

played 8/21 at 7am. The course was in very good shape. The tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition. The greens were firm and fairly fast, but there were a lot of burned looking areas of the greens. Although the greens were brown and bumpy looking, they rolled surprisingly well.

We went as a twosome and finished in less than 4 hours. There was a reverse shotgun, but we never saw them

I played this course on my way up to Big Bear for the weekend. I got onto the course at 2pm (twilight rate) and was by myself. I passed 2-3 groups total in playing a 2.5 hr round.

I played this course on my way up to Big Bear for the weekend. I got onto the course at 2pm (twilight rate) and was by myself. I passed 2-3 groups total in playing a 2.5 hr round.

The fairways are a litte tight but the rough shouldering the fairways is very playable. I was able to get on in regulation somewhat regularly despite wayward drives.

Water comes into play on a few holes, but is fairly avoidable. Greens were pretty good, a few spots got bumpy, but nothing too bad. Standard rules concerning greens breaking towards valleys, water or other landmarks were not useful. Some of the breaks were counterintuitive ... a second or third time through would greatly improve the reads.

All-in-all, a great golfing experience. No wait. Quick round. Good conditions. Affordable price.
