This evaluation will go down as the most praiseworthy one I have ever written. The condition of everything is in perfect or near perfect shape. I played 36 holes and never had a bad lie, a hop on the green, or a hard pan lie. The entire maintenance crew deserves great applause and commendation. The food at the restaurant is simply delicious. Maybe Oak Valley is what golf in heaven is like.

My Son and I had a GREAT round on 4-4-09. It was our 3rd "Boy's Weekend" and our normal home course is Los Serranos and I felt it was time to treat the kid to something different and to see how he could hang. We had our share of AMAZING shots as well as "WTF" was I thinking when I pulled the trigger on that shot. All in All, this course is worth the drive out to Beaumont and you could not ask for a more better weather than what we had the views were off the hook gorgeous. The course is AMAZING condition, cannot wait to play it again for the kid, he shot an respectable 94 for the 1st time out from the blues.

Course is in great shape. A definate must play. Blue tee's are punishing in that it is a long carry to many fairways, so play your handicap advised tee box. Some great character here, such as a very short par 3 over a valley of rough. Don't leave drives short or they will be lost. Lots of fun and I'd play here again.

Played the course on 3/10/09 & 3/11/09 in 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Simply enjoyed the toughness and challenge of the course. The action really starts at 150 yards and in to a fast, fairly small and firm greens. Concentration is the key to playing this course with lots of view. Will be back to play this course again. Besides the course, the staff were friendly and helpful too. Check out "tips" for playing this couse .......... it helps! ENJOY, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Played on a Tuesday morning at 8AM (1/20/09) and only people that we saw outside of the club house were two golfers on the range. Very well maintained fairways and rough with very, very firm and fast greens. This course is beuatiful and much tougher than it looks, especially when anything not hit crisp from the fairway with a short iron will bounce hard and roll off the back of the greens.

A must play for $55 and a 4 hour (or less) round, just do not get distracted by the views or this course's teeth will show.

Played Nov. 12th and was first off. There was no one there except my group and three other groups between 6:30 and 10am....amazing. The greens were perfect, absolutely perfect! They ran really fast, firm and smooth. The fairways were in really nice shape. The only minor problem was that they had the back tees closed due to their preparations for the stage 2 PGA tour Q school. I understand closing the par 3 tees because of divots, but not closing ALL of the tee boxes. Those of us who can play from those tees will not be taking divots on par 4s and 5s. The course plays a lot easier when it's 500 yards shorter. I played a few holes from the tips anyway, in protest (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, but that's it).

I really like this course and look forward to playing it in the future (from the tips).
