Played 10/22. The conditions of the course were really nice. The greens rolled great and did not have too many ball marks. The fairways were cut perfectly. The wind was blowing so that made it a bit more challenging. There are numerous doglegs throughout the course so ball placement is key. Most holes are very very secluded and you really do fell like you're playing somewhere very special...but some holes you can see all the houses being built -- strange variety there. Bring your A game if you want to score well. Oh, the marshall is going going up and down the cart path during the first 2 holes but is never to be seen again after that...which is pretty bad because our round took 5 hours to finish

Played 8/26 in the afternoon after having played the champions in the am. Found the legends to be very subpar in comparison to the champions course. The fairways were either wet & muddy, or had bare spots. Also, it looked like another victim of heavy play, as fairways were full of divots, which looked like pot holes. Greens were not rolling as true either. Finally, bunkers was like dirt.

Played 8/19 am. Love this course, great routing and fair layout. Greens had a little sand, so were a bit slow while damp in the am, but so was the practice green. Only other complaint was the thin sand in one of the bunkers, with a hard clay floor lurking underneath. Makes for a disasterous blast attempt. Good service, great discount rate through August. Give it a 9 overall.

Oops, the review below was for the Champions course. We teed off this morning on Legends. The course is in very good condition. Fairways, rough, tee boxes - all are in fairly tip top shape. My only complaint would be that the greens were a little bumpy. They rolled fast, but several putts took detours after hiting a few bumps. It was a fun time again though, and if you play here, you won't be disappointed.

Teed off mid-afternoon today. As always, the winds were whipping around pretty this afternoon. The Champions course is in B+ shape overall. Several holes have stakes in the fairways which apparently mark areas that are under repair. A few fairways had spots of casual water. The rough is in good shape though. The greens were a little inconsistent. Some were a little sandy and bumpy, and others were smoother and rolled better. I thought I used to like the Champions course more than Legends, but I've now changed my mind. I now feel Legends is the better layout; a little more strategy and a little tougher test from tee to green.

I returned here after a 1 1/2 year hiatus. I used to play here religously every chance I got. Then the internet deals, magazine deals shriveled up and the place got way too expensive, or from what I was used to paying. The place has changed! Homes abound, but it's more on the Champions. That's why I love the Legends. The routing is more interesting and the peacefulness and solitude you feel on the middle holes is 2nd to none. Then the darn trains rumbles thru, blowing it's horn and ruins it!!! But anyways, the conditions here are usually pretty good and last Saturday was no exception. Tee to green, everything is ship shape, but the greens have a light sand on them. Your ball still rolls fine, but it actually makes them play a little easier. When these greens are pristine, you can 3 putt in a heartbeat they're so dog-gone fast. Sad to see homes creeping in on holes 5 and 6, but that's just life I guess. At least they're not right on the holes, they're back a ways. Bottom line, nice place, nice facility, fairly friendly people, but it's not what it used to be. Don't want to sound like a grump, but something's missing here, can't explain it.

Teed off at 215p, after playing a morning round on Champions. The wind was kicking up, but another terrific round. The course is in very good shape - not as good as Champions, but just fine nonetheless. The greens are very good right now, but rolling slightly less fast than Champions. The replay rate is $25, so we played 36 today for $85 bucks - no other place in SoCal to play for that price on 2 top shelf courses. Cart girl did a great job - she kept coming around and gave us good service. Another great day in Beaumont.

I play this course at least once a week,and alternate between it and the champions course. The legends is set up to offer both the long and short hitter a good challenge for their money. Although the fairways are fairly open, and reward accuracy, the course is set up to demand good distance control on all approach shots....no "running" shots on the greens here.It does require knowing your distance capabilitiy on all clubs. Sand traps could be a little less "shallow", however the greens are well manicured and overall the course is very well maintained. The mountain views are fantastic...however, like so many courses, houses are slowly encroaching and ultimately will detract somewhat from the beauty....Overall, a great place to play!
