This is a really fun course. The course was in pretty good shape. Found a couple of sand traps a little unpredictable. Greens were receptive, but a couple had a lot of ball marks (please repair your divots and ballmarks !!!!!!). The negatives are that the pro shop isn't open yet (opens next month) and the pace of play on the weekend was over 5.5 hours. Too many macho guys playing from the Black tees where they should be playing from the White tees!!!

This is a good course with contrasting nines that make the experience worthwhile for the price. Played on weekend of 8/30 and the pace was slow, but this allowed for better enjoyment of the course meandering through homes and over hills. Appreciated the long and short holes and loved the changes in elevation on the back side that brought clubs and course strategy into play.
Very disappointed by the greens on the front side with numerous ball marks and scarred spots. Greens were very hard and fast that made approach shots difficult to hold. Fairways were in decent shape and bunkers had even sand consistency.
Service was great; beverage carts came around plenty of times; could use more water containers on the back nine. It is definitely worth the weekday rate; the weekend rate would be a bargain if the course was in better shape.

For the money not a bad course. Greens are a mess. Ball marks everywhere. No green puts true so be careful.

Thje greens are not very good. They are not as good as courses that have lower green fees such as General Old or Landmark golf in Hemet.

I found this course overall to be a bit disappointing - I expected a bit more from the Robinson boys, something more like The Experience course on Lanai - instead, this course was more like their Tejares Creek course in OC which has a lot of "condo golf" holes rather than anything taking advantage of the wilds of the Cleveland National Forest. Yes, #18 has a spectacular drop off the tee but the fairway is extremely wide and that hole is somewhat pedestrian after you reach the fairway. #16 is actually more interesting as it plays like a hole from the Kapalua Plantation where you are picking your spot to get maximum role down the hill - but then you reach the green and you feel like you are putting out in front of somebody's restaurant (I think its actually a health club or community center). Eagle Glen up the I15 gives you a more satisfying experience of "getting away from the real world".

I Played here last Friday. It seemed like we survived the course instead of playing it. We had wind gusts around 30-40MPH which really came into play on a course where shot placement is a premium. A lot of elevation changes and tough breaking greens keep you on your toes. Keep ball in play, take extra club on a lot of holes and pray if there is wind. Good course, good shape and good price. I see this course to be a place to play once all the new construction is finished.
