Played Sunday, greens are great and this is definitely one of my favorite courses, you have to hit so many different shots and use all your clubs throughout the round, especially the par 3's. I think it takes a few rounds to get to know the course and figure out the breaks in these big greens.

first time here and probably my last. Played on a saturday. Our time was 10:52. Got there about 45 minutes early,stood in line for about 20 minutes and was rudely told by the person manning the "window" that we would need to come back at our tee time. Should have known that was a sign of more bad things to come. At our tee time, we went back up to the window, paid our $$ and were told we would have to wait for a cart. Great, now I know things are going to be bad. Finally a cart arrives and we get down to the first tee and were told by the starter that there were 7 groups in front of us ! ! Wonderful ! By the time we pushed our tees into the group it was 12:15......an hour and 20 minutes late. What a joke! In my years of playing golf, I have never seen so many golfers leave a course on a weekend with out hitting one ball. In the hour + that I waited to tee off, I watched at least 6 groups leave, in digust, while the person did nothing to put out the fires going on around him.

This is the first time I played here. I loved the layout. The course is in ok shape. The greens were very slow. Pace of play was fine and the service was ok. The location is great. Very quite and serine. Played for $41 on internet special. I will play here again for that price. Oh..no clubhouse or driving range yet.

Played 4/1 7:30 tee time. 3 foursomes wating on 1st tee, but all went out fairly quck, unfortunately the 4some ahead of us, 3 men and 1 lady, were real slow. By the 3rd hole they were 1 hole benind and finished almost two holes behind, but it was a 4hr45min round which was not real bad. Tee boxes were level, and lush, with no divots. The faiways were nice with good roll, some discoloration but in good condition with just a few unfilled divots. the greens were lush, but real slow due to aeration, give them a couple more weeks to get real good. A lot of ball marks, too many to fix, with some old ones. Sand was hard packed underneath. Marshal came by, we informed them of slow play, but nothing changed. Oh Well!

Played Thursday March 27. Another great time at Dos Lagos. I think they punched the greens a week or two ago, and you really can't tell. The course is in great shape and still very challenging but fair. Still no clubhouse, but heard it is getting close. Things looked really clean, looks like they are really stepping up for this upcomming season. The guy in the pro shop was great as was the starter. Usually I have only good things to say about the Dos, but this time I do have something negative - the marshall was a little rude and kept pushing us when we were playing in about 4 hours 15 minutes, which on a busy windy day isn't too bad in my opinion. I have no problem with someone saying something if we are a little slow, but I don't need someone riding us and staying with us telling us to pick up the pace on almost every hole on the back nine. While there wasn't a group in front of us, we didn't have any groups tee off in front of us, we were ahead of the big afternoon rush. I don't know why he expected us to keep pace with groups that teed off 10 minutes or more before us. I have never experienced this before usually have had great marshalls and starters, sometimes they are even a little funny, but very professional as this marshall was not. Other than that just a great day on the course, how can you go wrong with golfing in beautiful weather, at such a fair and reasonable price. By the way a cute beverage cart girl, not sure if she is new but very cute and funny for those that like that sort of thing.

Played Thurs March 20. Just punched the greens with heavy dusting of sand. Not too bad to putt, only had 2 3-putts, but the ball does bounced. Nobody on the course, reduced rate of $37 due to punching. 4 hour round. Grass is turning green, fairways still cut close, good sand in bunkers. Give it about 10 days for the greens.

I play this course often. I am suprised about some of the recent reviews. (Maybe the other courses because of all the play Dos is getting). I haven't been out there when there hasn't been a parking lot full of cars. While the course doesn't have a clubhouse, it doesn't bother myself or my buddies. We want to go out and golf not sit around and drink anyway. The course is in great shape. The greens are still the best around, and while the grass isn't green it is very easy to hit off of. Once the weather turns warm it will get green, this happens to bermuda grass everywhere, I am from the east coast where bermuda is dominant. Everyone can go play the other courses with 5 hour plus rounds I will stay here where I can finish in just under 4 hours if I tee off early.

The fairways are all sod, {crappy sod by the way} And when you divot the whole turf comes up and you stop immediatly!!! Stupid course, overpriced, would rather play the crusty sh$t hole {cresta verde} than this!!!!!!
