Played yesteday and course is greening up great from a cold spring, greens were quick but not too fast, great course with lots of big trees, hitting tee shot straight helps a lot. The grass around the greens is cut down low so you can chip and run a lot. New manager Lona is great and personable and the bar staff are fun to talk to and the new sports bar is a perfect way to end the round.

Been playing Hesperia for 18 years and I can say that yesterday 4/13/08 the course was in the worst shape I have ever seen. The fairways are so thin that each iron shot was a tight lie. The tee boxes are c--p....How about some sand and seed mix to fill the divots?

The greens are bumpy 3 weeks after aeration...ever think about rolling them?
Come on guys, get a clue. If your going to raise the geeens fees by 10 bucks since July, put some of it back into the course.

This course reminds me of an elder statesman - a little tired but loaded with character. We always enjoy this course, and we look forward to playing it again, soon. When I think of this course, the first things that come to mind are the tree lines and the surrounding desert. An accurate tee ball is absolutely essential, here; otherwise, you will be in for an exasperating day. The trees that border these fairways make you tug on your collar a bit before you take a swipe at it. Further, if you do find yourself on the wrong side of those trees, you are quickly reminded that you are playing in the high desert. As for the greens, they are traditionally one of the fastest set of greens that we'll play all year, and last Saturday was no exception to that rule. All day long, just before I hit my approach shot, I'd tell myself, "Stay below the hole...stay below the hole." It took over 5 hours to finish our round (foursome), but it hasn't been like that in the past. Hopefully, we'll have a little shorter round next time around. Good luck to everyone!

Course is good shape, greens are rolling smooth and price is great for how good of a course this is. #9 & #18 are two of the toughest par 4's in golf.

Played on Friday 10-5. Have been playing this course quite a bit in 2007. I don't know what has happened in the last month but a lack of maintenance is really obvious. The greens have become infested with a weed that really affects the roll of your putts and for some reason they've decided they don't need to mow anyhere but the tees and greens. Fairways are shaggy and the rough has grown extremely high in most areas of the course. This course is the best layout in the high desert and the condition is usually better than this. The summer in the area was quite hot and most of the courses here experienced problems with their greens but have made efforts to improve them. Green top dressing and winter over seeding is suppose to take place in the next 2-3 weeks but most of the courses in this area have already done this. I hope this helps take care of the problems. Unless you live in the the area I do not think this course is worth the drive from the LA/OC/Inland Empire areas.

Played here for the first time on Sunday 8/12, this is the best track I have played in 10 years, great old style layout, plenty of trees, true par 4 and 5 holes. Greens were med-fast, fwys a little long but very lush, rough is very high at times, and traps need some attention. Beverage cart girl was the best, came by 5 times during the round and was very nice. A little TLC and this course is up there with the high end courses. Plus only $39 at 10:00 am tee off with cart. Over all a great test of golf.

Played here twice in last ten days, price was excellent with the email specials. One day was $18.45, every Wednesday until some time in August, the other day $29.00 but included a sleeve of 2007 Pro V1's so made the golf price about $16-$17. Either way well worth the fee. Course is in very good condition, the greens are plush, about medium speed, roll true and place is empty during the week. Lately the green fee you pay is for unlimited golf, so if you like to play more than 18 holes take the drive. The wind is a factor as the day lengthens, but when it is hot you will appreciate it. The layout is classic, a real gem and with the blue skies it is a great golf experience. One word of warning, do not go expecting to find a nice clubhouse, excellent driving range, or top flight golf carts. The clubhouse and the range look as if they haven't done much to them since the 1950's when the course was still being used on the PGA tour and by television golf programs, like Celebrity Golf. But if want to play a great old course where your money is spent to use the course and not the extras which keeps the price reasonable than head up the Cajon Pass and visit this classic
