Played this course 8-7-21.
It has been 7 or 8 years since I have played here. All I can say is: what happened? about 13-15 greens were badly diseased. I was very disappointed in the whole course. My son worked there about 8 years ago. It was in a lot better shape.
Hopefully they can save the greens.
But it isn't worth the cost in it's current condition.

Played the back 9 this morning, was the first time in over 5.5 years. This is my last time laying there for a while. At least until they repair the greens and tee boxes. Not one tee box was ok, holes, missing grass, uneven to where you almost couldn't find a small level section to tee off on. The greens looked like someone rolled through with wheels, that left indentations all over which made the greens bumpy and didn't roll true. On top of that, they say they open at 6am. There was about 10 of us waiting until nearly 6:30 before the cart guy asked us to give our names to some girl to track who went off before the proshop opened. I was really disappointed in the course and how things appeared and ran. Hopefully things turn around. It used to be one of my favorite stops.

Started playing again after 5-1/2yr break. So I decided to try out Whispering Lakes since they offer wide fairways etc.
The last time I had played here was about 6yrs ago. Today the course is in good shape.
Greens are roll8ng nicely, fairways are green and lush, minus some holes throughout. Other than that, the course is great for anyone wanting to pick up the game.

Played here after a 5-1/2 year withdrawl from golf.
The course is good shape for once. Greens are nice, fairways are decent as well.
The only 2 things that need improvent is: tee boxes and sand traps.
Once those are addressed, things
Would really improve.

Played this course today for the 1st time. I have always wanted to try this course out. What a disappointment. Tee boxes were bad, fairways looked like they were trying to get something growing again. Yes I know they over seeded. But I have never seen a course this bad from over seeding.
Several greens had diseased blotches. Sand traps well lets just say "where is the sand?" They were dirt.
Needless to say, for the price go elsewhere.
They need a huge miracle to turn this course around.

Well my son asked to play here last week. The greens are looking better than the last time I played here. Fairways eh still no improvement. Tee-boxes really need to be redone in my opinion.
Slow play was once again a big problem.
Other than that, it is looking better.

Ok this was my first time playing here and my last time.

1st off the pace of play was ridiculously slow. 5 hours. It took 2 hours to play 6 holes.
2nd. The marshal is worthless there. When I asked him about the pace of play. He reply "so what do you want me to do". I also asked why 5-somes were being let out on the course? His reply "you are a 2-some they let you". He was rude.
3rd. The first hole a regular picked my ball up and when asked he said " I didn't pick anything up. I watched the guy.
4th. Another group of regulars rode out in the fairway when I was ready to hit the ball. The guy just threw his hands up.
Seriously this is the last time I play in Orange County. People around there are just rude.
For the same rate I rather play in Riverside County. At least people know how to respect one another.

Played in our clubs golf tourney here yesterday. This course has a nice challenge to it. Lot of different club choices off the tee. Different elevations etc. Greens were in great shape.
I will be back to play this course.

Played here the last couple weekends. The course is finally turning around like days of old.
Greens nice and rolling well. Tee boxes are looking much much better. Fairways eh still need work but improving. The sand boxes really need attention to turn this place around. It appears they are doing improvements around the course which is nice to see.
I will add this to my rotation once again.

The course appears to be turning around a little. They need to work on the tee boxes then the fairways. (Hint to the owners and greenskeepers). The greens are slowly getting better but still are not like they were 7 years ago when they were deep green soft and fast.
Tee boxes are a mess still and it is sad they allowed the course to get in the shape it is in now.
Fairways are still like hardpan for the most part. But you can still take a divot.
Sand traps are hard and seems like there is no topping in them only base.
Rough is still OK.
It would be nice to see the owners focus on restoring this once nice track. The players would return like days of old if they ever head these warnings on GK.
I will still play here now that they got rid of some personnel. But It is not worth the cost to play during the morning. When you can play Shandin Hills for less and in better shape than Upland.
"Come on Upland get your course back in shape"!!!!!

It has been 12 years since I played here. What a treat to see the course in better shape than I ever seen it. It is well worth the price and I plan on making it regularly out there.
If you haven't played the course you owe it to yourself!!!

Very nice course. Older style which I do like. Only gripe? The sand traps were in poor shape.
Hard and wet. Other than that it is a very nice course worth the price.
