This course is much more lush than most courses. The greens and fairways are in good shape. All of the holes run to the north or south except the 18th. The front 9 demands more accurate tee shots. Overall, a fun and well groomed golf course. But it is just too far from my house.

Played a few months ago and course was in great shape, still in great shape half way through the summer. Keep up the good work.

Played 8-10. It's a good, challenging track. Staff was very accomodating. The uphill part of the front nine plays difficult. Greens were fast & pretty smooth. It was hard to find yardage but the fairways were in good shape. Tee boxes weren't great but you could find a decent spot. It's a good value that I will play again.

they have real sand in the bunkers! played for the first time. not very crowded midday saturday. might have been the heat. nice shape and will play again.

Played on 07/15, tee time was at 3:15 but let us on at 2:30. It's a bargain at $24 to ride and the conditions were good with exception to the greens being very slow and inconsistent. It seems that the pace of play should be pretty good because it's not packed like it is in LA. The only problem was the twosome in front of us and the foursome in front of them. The 3 holes in front of them were empty but they didn't offer to let us play through. We had 5 but they were slower than us. We didn't see the Marshall the whole time we played which might be the problem. It's not that bad of a drive and the conditions and price is worth it.

I don't understand it! The course was in great condition. (Although the greens a little too slow for my taste) and noboby is there? Rather than play in LA or Long Beach, made the extra drive to Shandin and got out as soon as we arrived. (20 min early) and played as a threesome walking in 3 hours 5 min. Only had to wait for a couple of minutes for a threesome in carts to finish on 18. (We were told they teed off about 40 min head of us? Why aren't people playing this course. It's a wonderful track, always in decent condition, well priced, etc. Yet if you go to some of the poorer tracks in LA (Woodley, Alondra, Victoria, Whittier Narrows, etc, it take about five hours of waiting to play an inferior course. I guess I should "not let the cat out of the bag" but for those of you who can "move it around" do yourself a favor and make the drive.

After watching the new Bruce Willis flick I stopped off at Shandin Hill for a round of golf. Still in great shape, though some of the tee boxes have been re-sodded and are uneven. Despite the heat there are relatively no burn spots. The rough is cut low, there's real sand in the bunkers, and the greens are in great shape. Definitely worth the price! I played the round in a little over 2 hours! It was so quick I considered playing again (just $10 w/cart) but it appeared I'd get backed up quickly so I went home to watch the HR Derby.

Played on 7/3/07 during the Super Twilight Rate - THE BEST DEAL in the area. In spite of the recent heat wave, the course is in great shape. The only thing to note was that the greens were a little bumpy, probably due to two factors, (1) end of the day, and (2) hit the greens at a bad time in the mowing cycle. This would be my choice for course against others in the area if the green fees were the same.

Played this course on 6/28/07. As has been said before, the super twilight rate is the best deal around - it allows my son and I to play golf at least once per week, which is worth every penny to me. We teed off at 5:15 and finished 15 holes by 8:00. We could have finished 18 if the group in front had been a little speedier. Everything about this course was very pleasant - even when playing in 90-100 degree heat. Greens roll true, sand traps have sand (really!!!) and the course appears to be maintained well. The only drawback is the driving range (no woods), but good practice areas (putting and chipping greens witha bunker). Going back every week through the summer.
