I, too, played with the $39.00 special Donovan Daily e-mail coupon (with the hotdog and chip package!) on 22 June 2004. Overall, the course is in good shape. The greens were....uhhhh.....let me think of the right words here: they were a mess! I guess that the aeration was done not-too-long ago, because they were lumpy and bumpy and in desperate need of a good rolling. Doesn't anybody roll their greens any more? Un-repaired ball marks and scaring is a problem here. Even a three-foot putt can be an adventure when putting over a moonscape of ball marks and old aeration marks. Perhaps they will recover, and we'll have another good option for a weekday round. But as of 6/22 - I'd rather play Goose Creek or Oak Quarry and spend the few extra bucks. Oh....and for whatever reason, they sent all golfers off on the 10th tee....I don't know if it made any difference.....but the 18th hole is a much better finishing hole than number nine!
