Played the course on Friday, September 29th. Unfortunately, we missed our tee time, but the starter was able to put us out within minutes of our arrival. Despite a tournament on the course, we finished as a twosome in four hours (with daylight to spare). Staff was friendly and we saw the beverage cart often. As for the golf, it was marginal at best. Tee boxes were in fair shape, the rough was tremendously thick and the greens rolled very slowly. For the most part it's a boring layout and many holes run near the freeway. If you're a local, it's a great bargain. We played twilight for $11 on golfnow.com. I wouldn't recommend the course, but it's worth the green fees just to get in a little practice.

course still not up to where it used to be. greens are decent, but bumpy and slow. whoever was setting cups that day needs fired. the cup was set too high and i rimmed out 2 putts off the plastic...bs!!! rough was gnarly and rediculoius. course needs some tlc badly, but don't expect it. you can play here in your jeans and cutoffs, which attracts the best golfers in the IE. ....not. i'm done with this dump for good. the nasty girl in the snackshop just kept on talking to her buddy about the manager which i thought was pretty rude and unprofessional,

Fairways were for the most part excellent. It was nice to see they returned the bunkers fronting the 18th green. Without them the hole was too boring. Always enjoy Shandin, not too tough, but enough of a challenge to keep you thinking.

haven't played here in a couple of years and I know why. First impression was not good at all. scorched turf and flowers in the parking lot isn't what I expected see. the course is good, design that it is not conditions. greens were very bumpy and spongy and many dead spots every where. fairways were very average and rough was rough. new sand in bunkers were ok in most spots, although too soft. it wasm about 105 there today. course is empty if you like a fast round, but don't expect too much. course was in awesome shape about 16 months ago when i played. the greens were sick, that means good. my recommendation is to play San Bernardino or Yucaipa for the money.

played on 6-29. very hot day. cheap to play but you get what you pay for. course was in worse shape than when i played a year ago. greens were slow and thick, and wet. ball left a divot in the greens and there were many divots. fairways were patchy. many wet and dry spots.n bunkers have new sand, but it is very soft and not very playable. played at twilight rate, but i won't play here again..not worth the condition of the course. i like other courses in the area that are in better shape for the same cost like el rancho and even san bernardino g.c. is in great shape right now.

From the entrance into the place I could tell I might not be happy at the end of the round. 2 feet high weeds growing in a nice parking lot and a sense of dissamay. got out quite quickly as a walk on though. the cart i had barely had any juice to go up #6. This course could use some tlc. ever other lie I had in the fairway or rough was on burnt out grass hardpan. Although fairways had decent turf coverage, there was just plain fried spots that my ball found. alot of soupy spots too of wet gras Bunkers are new, alot of fried egg lies, ended up throwing ball onto the green than sinking in to my ankels a few times. Greens rolled about a 6 if lucky and very bumpy. i know poanna can be a bumpy, but I didn't think this bad. first time and most likely last time i play. not worth it in my opinion.

I played in a tournament here last week. Overall ok,nothing to scream about. Bunkers are being worked on, thus messing with players...the workers don't stop. Greens were slow and very soft. Fairways had a lot of grass shavings on the first few holes and rough was hit and miss many areas of standing water which can only be condusive to breeding mosquitoes. the course seemed very humid which could be do to overwatering or the gloomy weather. the ponds there are like brown in color and very smelly. customer service was below average. i'll probably only play here if playing in a large group.

Then there are big brown spots through out the course. the greens are like putting through 1970's shag carpet. my sticky, beer soaked basement carpet is faster than the greens there. very strange odor in the bathroom and eating area?? man that is gross!!!!! . I think i'm going be playing course closer to home. then you add in the freeway noise....not relaxing enough for me. COurse is empty f you like cheap play in the warm san bernardino smog.
