Played in a tournament today and had pretty miserable weather. Temps in the low to mid 50s with drizzle for our entire round.
The course was in passable shape at the moment. Tee boxes and fairways were both dormant and the fairways gave quite a bit of roll even in the wet conditions. Fairways also had a mottled green and brown look. The surface was actually pretty good most of the time it just wasn't very nice to look at. Rough was patchy and you never knew if you were going to get a lush patch or a spot where your ball would settle down to dirt. Bunkers were extremely thin. Maybe 1/4" of decent sand before you hit the compacted stuff. Greens were probably the best part of the course. They were rolling really well and the only problems were unrepaired divots and some spike marks.
Yucaipa is a decent place if the price is right ($35-40 seems about right), but it's far from the most interesting option in the area.

Disappointing round - The greens are in horrible shape, very uncharacteristic for this course usually the fairways are the problem, but the greens are in bad shape. Pace of play was horrible, tournament with 5 fivesomes ahead of us, supposed to be playing best ball, but started playing their own balls. Had to wait up to 10 minutes between shots, ridiculous.

Speed on greens was slow but sped up as the day went on. Still not a top notch course but a fun round with some great views of the mtns. Internet special was only $29 so its well worth the price. Saw cart girl at least 4 times and she went back to the clubhouse to make a sandwich for us when she didn't have what we wanted.

Played 8/11 with another GKer. Our tee time was at 12:04 but they got us out at 11!! I have to say the entire staff was absolutely wonderful today: smiling, friendly, helpful- perhaps the best overall of anywhere I've played! The course is in great condition esp for August! There are a few troubled spots on the fringe of some fairways where the grass is clumpy and a few other spots where it was downright soggy but overall the fairways were really nice with no bad lies. The greens were well cared for and held very well but were a bit on the slow side. Some of the rough was so thick and dense as to be brutal!! The sand could have used a good fluffing and was pretty wet overall. Saw the cart girl Britney twice on the front and three times on the back. She was super! They didn't have any veggie sandwiches on the cart. She told us to stop on the turn and she'd have them make me one. There wasn't one in the clubhouse at the turn either so I forgot about it. She caught up with us on the 11th, found out I didn't get a sandwich, and immediately went back to the clubhouse and brought me one out! Now THAT is service!! Used their course site and got a great deal - $29 at noon on a Sunday with a cart.

Played here 8/11 for an excellent rate on $38 off their website. Went out as a foursome at 6:15am and finished in just over four hours. Could have been much quicker but two in our group are slow players. As for the course conditions, besides being wet heavily watered overnight everything else was near perfect. My only complaint was that the greens were a little too soft for my liking but they putted well. Customer service was great and, as always, the scenery in the clubhouse was very nice. Don't know if I can find a better value right now than Yucaipa.

Well, I set out this morning to play as a single. Went to course website to get pricing perhaps book tee time, pricing not posted, directed to booking site that doesnt allow for single booking, frustrating. Next I call pro shop, put on hold for 5 long minutes immediately after I requested rates for present time( really,for a two word answer!?) She gets on phone and just after I explain why I couldnt book online she tells me to go online, really!? She struggles with finding rate, weird in my opinion, tells me its $35. I get to course 30 minutes later(11am)and am told its $42 dollars!? whatever, I dont say a word and just pay, just want to play a round of golf. That being said, that was the worse part of the day, which really was a minor irritant. Tee boxes were pretty much all level, not an exorbinate amount of divots(five sets of tees probably a factor), and plenty lush. 8/10 Faiways were nice, not many thin spots, they seem to water this course plenty! 8.5/10 The greens were smooth but very firm. Not many divots but a few dead spots. Speed would vary from hole to hole depending on level of saturation from watering, but most fairly quick. Lots of undulation, not very many easy reads. 7/10 Bunkers!? Oh boy, again they water this course plenty! Not so good for sand traps, similar to hitting off a sidewalk,lol. 3/10 Btw, no more gps in karts(disappointment), but all in all I enjoyed my round and thought for the money it was worth it and will be back often.

Golf Course is in good shape - got to be honest there - but I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS COURSE....EVER!! I unfortunately hit a window and gave my phone number to the young man at the house .. later on in the round after being followed around by the Marshall, was approached for the same information that I already gave to the home owner - This Marshall then gave my information to another home owner who lost a window on the course. UNBELIEVABLE. Fortunately the second homeowner realized that I was not the golfer who broke His window. Don't get the name on a golfer on the course and then pass it out to everyone who has a broken window !!!!

Course has improved greatly since I last played - Fairways have been aerated and grass is coming in well, they seem softer and less HARDpan which was the usual for this course - The greens have been recently aerated and still have significant amount of sand on them but still rolled well - Very Green and pleasant environment - Seems they have been putting $$ into the course. I think this course is fair for the price they charge. It is typically busy on the weekends because the rates are lower than many nearby courses.
