Played 6/17 Course is in good shape. Fairway's mostly green & soft. Rough not bad, bunkers a little hard, could use some replenishing. Greens are almost back. They were punched a week ago and have a couple more day's before they are clean and ready again.
Glad to see they almost have them fixed after last years disaster. A great challenging and thinking course. Even though it is long from the blues, you can't just bomb away and expect to be ok.

Played Carlton Oaks on Saturday morning. Although there are some burned out areas in the fairway and rough, the course is certainly moving in the right direction. Since the greens were recently replaced, they are still settling, leading to firmness on the approach shots, while staying fairly slow on putts.

The layout of Carlton Oaks is great. From the blues, the course is only 6700 yards, but you need to think on pretty much every shot. If you miss shots in the wrong spots, you're going to have a long day.

One suggestion: rack rate is a bit steep, but twilight on the weekends is only $35 and you can usually find a good deal online. Get out and challenge your game.

Played today 6/9. Bunkers were good. Pace was ok. Service was good. Course is still in need of care. Practice green was much quicker than the actual greens. Fairways and greens had lots of bare spots. Course was dry everywhere. I love the layout, but it's not worth the greens fee in this condition.

I played yesterday 5/20/12. The greens are rolling perfect! WOW! I want to congratulate the new ownership and the grounds crew on an incredible job replacing all the greens on the course after the damage that happened to them last year! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures but the greens are superb. I'm happy to finally add this track back into my rotation.

Played today (11/28)...this course from the blue tees is quite challenging and fun, and other than the greens it's in decent shape....but unless you are okay putting on "short fairways" I would wait at least a couple more weeks. They do seem to be coming in nicely though, and for how long they are they actually roll okay. Once they are able to cut their greens down this course will be a great place to play again.

Just want to give everyone a heads up. Carlton Oaks is closed for the next three weeks. They are replacing all the greens. The driving range and resturant are still open but thats about it!

Got the course online for $30 thought it was a great deal for a Tuesday 6:30am tee time. The greeting was fair from the clubhouse and got a better after talking with the starter. He informed my uncle and i that the greens were not in the best shape. He was right they had a disease that almost killed all the greens!! That being said it was a really layout the fairways were in decent shape and the rough wasn't to bad either. If someone would put a lil money into the course it could be a gem.

I like this course, it's a good challenge.
But with that said , I played saturday and the greens are in absolutely horrible condition.

The course should be closed while they do repairs. They are robbing people for taking standard green fees for the condition that it's in. It is unplayable, and will be for atleast a few months.
however the previous review was in march, and there obvi ously hasn't been an improvement since then so who knows.
