Played Eastlake this morning. I got a single tee time through GN at 6:22 for $51. I wouldn't say the course is worth that price. I was paired with a fun threesome of duffers. We were fourth off the tee, but never really saw the groups ahead of us after the first few holes. Groups behind didn't press either, though, so it was a nice relaxed morning pace. We still got around in about 3:45, which was great.

The course is pretty beat up right now. Fairways and rough were pretty patchy with a number of dead/brown spots and inconsistent lies. The tee boxes were level, but a few (#10 comes to mind) were a little too shaggy. I was in one bunker and it was fine. A little wet in the morning, so hard to tell how soft the sand is normally. The greens are still recovering from a recent 1/2 aeration. The good halves of the greens (where all the pins were) were nice and lush (and VERY soft/spongy). They were super slow, though.

I wouldn't go too far out of my way to play here again and the price seemed a bit steep for what I consider a pretty average SD area layout (Ted Robinson). There's a few nice holes here (12 is a beautiful "signature" par -3 with multi-tiered ponds protecting the green) and the back nine is more interesting/scenic than the front. Overall, it's not super challenging (we played the blues). The fairways are pretty forgiving/wide and the greens aren't too difficult or well-protected.

Played Sunday in tournament, Course is in good shape. Its standard shape for eastlake. Never has a lot of bare spots and greens are always pretty nice... Was first group out in tourney and want to say... People need to learn to fix divots seriously. I must have repaired 7 DEEP ball marks on #17. The greens are 95% back from aeration.

Played 2/18/12. Course is in very good shape. The greens were very bumpy and did not roll very true. The recent rains made them soft and the heavy foot traffic took its toll. But, over all, they were in decent shape. The fairway's were lush and a pleasure to hit off. The ruff was 2+ inches and in good shape. Even though the course winds through a tightly pack housing development, there were some good views of the surrounding mountains. It is not a long course but ball placement can be big factor in your shots. I lost a couple shots by simply hitting it in the wrong spot. The layout was fun and interesting. I will enjoy playing this course again.

I was a walk-on single Sunday May 22nd 2011. Timing couldn't have been more perfect! James in the PRO-Shop gave me the e-mail rate even though I forgot to bring it along. Course was empty! Just (2) twosomes in front of me with a FOURSOME behind me after I teed off. Played the course in 3 hours 10 mins for a Sunday! Teed off just about noon...

The greens are in excellent condition, people are doing a better job of fixing ball marks but I always find a few that get unattended. Very windy the day I played, I struggle to make fairways but scrambles well when I did not.

The course is starting to go more of a brown color. I think they should employ more ropes off the tee to keep carts on the path more but NOT the entire holes? Seemed like too many golf cart tracks start right pasty the forward tee boxes.

It's a challenging layout, don't let the first hole think it's going to be that easy all day. Par 3's are challenging. HOLE #9 is a risk reward hole for sure. I layed up with a 5 IRON after my driver tee shot and still found the water hazard from 190? The carts have a GPS system but I prefer to use my Callaway laser from now on...I believe the GPS calculated the distance wrong on a few holes including #9.

The bunkers need some work...they're better than the last time I played them a year so ago...not great but improving.

There is a practice range but didn't use it since I could get out ahead of the foursome.

This is a fairly challenging course. Club selection into the greens need to be very precise, otherwise you can leave yourself some impossible two putts due to the different tiers on the greens.

Well worth the money for the golfnow.com price.

Rough is dry but can make it extra tricky when your ball is sitting up and turns out you have about an inch or two of grass under there. Overall it was so so

Played this course on March 19, 2011. The course was in good shape considering they had punched the greens recently. This is a fun course to play and I would recommend it. Pace of play we good.

Eastlake greens have not healed very well from the aerification. I found it very strange to find such hard greens that don't hold very well so soon after they have been aerified. They are not very smooth as well. The rest of the course is in great shape. The rough and bunkers are as nice as can be. The layout is fun with water to avoid on 6 holes. It is too bad the greens are not up to par.
