Played for the very 1st time weekend of 6/30/07 afternoon.
With great expectation having lots of advertisement from many different golf magazines about Sycuan Resort but not reached the level I expected.
The layout is common & regular nothing spectacular with few interesting holes(only rememberable is #5 as I uploaded the picture).Every conditions are at average & fair.
Greens speed medium/slow & little bit hard if more press of grass gonna speed up the roll .#5 's green I encountered barespots but big.
Lack of signs to follow the holes is one issue too.

Generally speaking, this course is in better shape than the other San Diego County courses I have played recently (Rancho Bernardo Inn, Steele Canyon, Encinitas Ranch). Although the course is not overly long, the trees that line most fairways can make things challenging. Unfortunately, the pace of play can be fairly slow here and there are several parallel holes where errant shots risk hitting groups on tee boxes, fairways, or greens.

Played 6/29 @ twilight ($31 to walk). Course is in GOOD SHAPE. Greens weren't as fast as usual but pretty smooth & true. It was hot as hell in the afternoon. The water stations are nicely positioned. Nothing to complain about. Singing Hills is usually a step above most courses when it comes to maintenance goes.

I played in a tournament on Sunday April 29. Having never played here before I was very impressed with the Oak Glen course at Sycuan. The fairways were in perfect shape, the greens rolled true although were perhaps a little slow due to some moisture, the tee boxes were level and in good condition and the rough was penalizing without being ridiculous. The layout is a good mix of holes which will test your shotmaking ability. Some holes are tree lined and really penalize you if you miss the fairway while others allow you hit driver with freedom. The only par 5 on the front 9, hole #7 is a very interesting hole. The tee shot is played completely blind from an elevated tee (hint: you don't need driver distance off the tee here, just hit something that is going to be straight) and the lay up shot is very narrow, 5 is good here. This course will hold your interest for multiple rounds and is definitely a challenge from the tips. Pace of play was good, with the rough being fairly long and with leaves scattered through the rough, looking for balls can cause a bit of a delay. All in all I would play this course again and it is in great shape at the moment.

We played it on Monday 3/19 morning. The course is in GREAT shape from tee to green. Greens are fast but receive very well, so aim for the flag!! Pace was good, a bit less than 4.5 hours.

Played Friday 09/15/06. The course was in great condition. The weather was also great. You couldn't ask for a better round of golf!!!

Played on a Friday morning about 9 am. Course conditions were very good. Nice course to use your driver, fairly scenic, pleasant but not too difficult. Big greens in good shape, lots of nice sand in bunker, fairways excellent, tee boxes so-so. More water comes into play on Oak Glen than Willow, but a little shorter. The only negative, is the speed of play on both Sycuan courses is kind of slow (this was my second Friday in a row), due to either tournaments or in this case I was stuck behind several foursomes of elderly women. I like both Sycuan courses, but if you want to have a speedy round on Friday/Sat/Sunday, play real early. Or stick to Mon-Thursdays.

Played the course last week and i have to say that I was impressed. first thing i was impressed with was that the twilight rate started at 10:30, yes I said 10:30. $35 with a cart. I don't think it's going to last much longer. I had a tee time at 10:31 for a single (I stayed at the resort,which was nice) and I tee'd off alone. I had another join me as I sat in my cart to go to my tee shot. We each had our own cart and finished in a very comfortable 3.5 hours. The course was in very good shape from tee to green. The greens didn't break as much as they looked and is where i lost most of my shots, my brain wouldn't let me it a straight put when the grren is sloped. Sand was in great condition. My only complaint was that I took my 12 yo son to the range at 4 in the afternoon and it was already closed because the pro shop guy decided it was time to go home, so we walked on to the range with a bucket and picked up our own balls. Their is alos a nice 18 hole par 3 course here and is great for beginners, holes range from 106 to 211 yards. Didn't get to p[lay the willow course but the Oak was great and I don't think I missed a thing. Stay and play at Sycuan, you won't be disappointed.
