Played on Thursday 5/7. Carts available if over 55, single rider. Used JC member rate. Usual social distancing rules apply.

Greens: excellent condition, smooth, fast and holding.

Fairways: excellent condition.

Rough: lush, 1-3" high, hard to locate your ball.

Traps: played as GUR.

POP just over 4 hours.

15 minute T times, no driving range, show up 30 minutes before your T time not any sooner.

3/9 tee off about 8 with a super 3 hr POP with a few min wait on 9/10 catching a group of very considerate regulars who waved us through on 11. Easy friendly check in using their cyber Monday promotion--$35. Fairways are on the thin side giving some extra roll but still with adequate watering the soil is soft enough to allow good contact with irons and hybrids. Fairway metals were more challenging. Overall lies were from good to acceptable. There were a few scattered bare patches and too many unfilled divots but fortunately they did not come into play. Rough was actively involved today and even though it was not long it quickly stopped any forward momentum and depending on the lie could be penal.
Tees were mostly level but playing the whites noticed that where some markers were forward on the box a slight slope was evident. Also some areas of the boxes were hard and resisted tee placement. Bunkers overall were ok recently groomed and most had enough sand with some thin areas at the bottom areas however.
Greens are in really good shape smooth rolling medium fast holding well struck approaches. Green complexes are large with slope and contours and ample opportunity to have some challenging pin placements. Additionally most greens are on an up slope and protected by bunkers and water is a factor on 7 and 9.
Interesting layout with good variety.

Use the JC card today (3/5)to get a good deal. Teed off just after 10 AM on a beautiful warm and sunny day.

Use the JC card today (3/5)to get a good deal. Teed off just after 10 AM on a beautiful warm and sunny day.

Good driving range to warm up on. Large excellent putting green at the first tee.

Greens: excellent condition, smooth, soft with medium speed.

Fairways: grass is starting to grow so the lies were decent. Few too many unfilled divots. There are 4-5 fairways with some bare areas but they are marked.

Traps: I was not in any but looked playable.

Rough: very playable.

Good GPS system in the carts.

Friendly staff in the Pro shop and starter was helpful.

POP: at 4 1/2 hours. RECOMMEND.

1/20 on what looked like a busier than usual Monday(MLK holiday) with a steady flow of golfers teeing off #1 with only a limited amount of waiting however and a good overall POP of 4 hours from an 800 start. Course is showing evidence of winter conditions as fairways are getting quite thin in many areas giving lots of roll but some marginal lies. Also even with nice quality sand filled bottles there were way too many unfilled divots. Rough varied in length and thickness with the most difficult and challenging around the greens and on slopes.
Tees had been overseeded and were mostly lush but there were areas that had excessive unfilled divots. Bunkers looked good and groomed but some were overly wet and most had rather thin layer of sand over hard pack.
Greens had a camo look with various colors of green. Definitely not as smooth as when we played here a few weeks ago. Type of grass doesnt seem to thrive in the cooler weather as the old holes were very obvious and pitch marks that were repaired looked to be slow in healing. Speed was medium fast. Not all that smooth. Some tough pins with serious break near the hole.
Large practice green much smoother than on course. Good GPS. Friendly staff easy check in.
Played with Peter and Paul two jovial golfers making for and even more enjoyable outing.
Good layout with plenty of variety and an overall remote feeling.

CPO today but fairways were quite good with some areas on the edges soggy. Rough was cur down but more of an issue around the greens. Tees had been over seeded and not yet mowed so longish but on the verge of really good, Bunkers wet as expected and in the process of being machine groomed as observed during our round.
Greens are great smooth, receptive and deceptively quick with enough subtle break to add to the challenge.
POP 345 with no one in sight. Easy friendly check in.

11/18 800 tee time using costco voucher $35 like we had the course to our selves leisurely 3hr POP on a beautiful fall morning. Fairways were generally good with some areas a little thin and some bare spots that today did not come into play. Rough along the fairways generally short and whispy thicker on the slopes and devilish around the greens often 3 inches long and juicy.
tees recently overseeded so white markers were moved up to red or back to blue. Bunkers were well groomed but varied from actually having good sand and depth to hiding the dirt under a 1/2 inch of sand.
Greens were absolutely great smooth and quick and receptive.
Very welcoming and friendly staff

Second tee time at 7:08am, but Michael in the shop allowed us to get out early so we were first off. Needless to say, no issues with pace of play. Nice easy relaxed pace at 2 hours forty minutes. Greens have for the most part recovered from the recent punching, although a few still shows signs, but not enough to affect the putts. Fairways were very wet in places, too much watering in my opinion. The one bunker I found was very good, well manicured sand. The only issue were the tee boxes. They apparently are over seeding them, so nearly all the blue tees. (Which is what I play) and the red tees, (Which my bride plays from) were closed, so it was a challenge to find flat spots behind or next to the tees to hit from. Probably would have been simpler to just play the whites, but I'm anal about some things. I would suggest allowing a couple weeks for the course to get things resolved, then everything should be fine. I like this course, lots of fun holes, without being too penal, and the staff is always great and accommodating.

Late morning round that didn't get started till after noon! Staff was friendly and cordial. The fact they do not have enough golf carts is still a problem here. The groups were having to wait for carts which did not help the pace of play that turned into a five hour round. The tee boxes were all level, thin and slightly beat up. Many tee boxes were damp and squishy on the front nine. The fairways were hit and miss on the front nine with many gur sections roped off. The front nine fairways were soggy in many places with fairly good coverage. The back nine fairways were in much better shape with very good coverage and a lot drier. The rough can be very penal depending on the type of grass you end up in. The fairways had minimal kikuyu but the rough on many holes around the greens were thick and long kikuyu! The traps were well maintained with ample sand that on some holes was wet and compact. The greens were great and held shots really well. The sad part of those were the numerous ball marks that the inconsiderate golfers were not repairing. The greens were fairly quick with various elevation changes but mostly medium to large in size. My game loves this course and layout - but the slow pace of play without any marshals and lack of enough carts is disappointing. That being said I do recommend the course but warn those that you might be in for a slow round.

Hadn't played there in over 20 years and didn't remember a thing . . . but of course the trees have all grown and there are now houses (not in play at all). Obviously I thoroughly enjoyed the course, especially the greens. The place has obviously gotten lots of water and is great shape, except as Gary noted the bunkers which are simply hard wet sand. The layout is fun with the back 9 playing more difficult than the front. Nice variety of holes that keeps you interested. It won't be 20 years again, in fact I need to put this course on my menu for more frequent consideration! :)
