The other reviewers were right... Buenaventura is looking real nice.. This is course is in real nice shape right now.. The tee boxes, and fairways are lush. The rough is high making it tough to play certain shots, traps are fluffy and the greens are quick. Turned out to be a 4.5 hour round but we were always moving.

Bunkers were all uniform and in good shape. This course mainly is a test around the greens and the course shines in this area. Chips are fair out of the rough, bunkers are fair and difficult. Tee are good and fairways are good, with a few exceptions. This place seems to be doing much better and lok forward to playing again

The Buena fairways are improving and the best I've seen them in awhile. The greens are VERY firm but not as fast as the last time I played here a few weeks ago. The traps are good to excellent and generally well maintained. Tee boxes are lush and well maintained but a few could use leveling.

The rough is beginning to grow up and become punitive again. There are places where you can hit any club and other places where the ball can nessle down, you almost have to step on it to find it and anything more than a short iron is an adventure.

Our 4some teed off @ 12:30 with almost no wind. By the back nine, it was consistently 20mph with 30-40 mph gusts. Considering the playing conditions, playing a 4:20 round was good for a Friday afternoon.

Course was in excellent shape greens were perfect. They were adding sand to bunkers when we were playing and it was noticable from the last time I played. Almost everyone comments on the fairways and they are noticably improved. This is a realtivaly cheap golf course to play and for the money I definetely feel you get your moneys worth. The course is in good shape with a few areas that are sub par, the areas with the new grass are great.

The greens are excellent, the traps and tees are average to above average & the fairways are poor. They have specials during the week that make the $$$ right and the pace of play is usually good.

Short, quirky little course with enough trees, OB and slopes on the greens to challenge golfers of all levels. The greens are definitely the best part of the course, smooth & quick for the most part. Traps generally well maintained, rough has been moved down and they have been trying to improve their tees, as evidenced by almost all divots being freshly filled in.

The major drawback is the fairways. Many bare spots and crabgrass everywhere. It's often debateable whether a drive down the middle is a reward or a punishment with a tight lie on hardpan? Buena's pace of play is generally good, our 4some walked & played in just less than 4 1/2 hours with golfers using three different tee boxes.

Played Saturday morning. Course is in better condition after the rains. Fairways are getting better. Sand was very fluffy and fun getting out of them, seemed like I was in a trap each hole. Greens are always in excellent condition here. Pin placements were great, made for challenging putts. Played with a local guy that was cool, told some of the best blonde jokes I've heard. Great place, that's why this is a regular in our rotation.

Played sun 1/20. Greens were very fast and true(fast as I have seen them in a while). Rock hard and hard to hole chips and putts. Good player in our group almost 4 putt from 10-12 feet to give u an example on #2 front pin. Fairways still just average to poor and tee boxes level for the most part. Still a good test of having to hit the ball straight to score. Greens undulating and our group had a bad putting day as a foursome. Wind tricky at times today. Friendly staff as usual.
