Course is in excellent shape, I think they have finally figured it out. Greens were excellent, little too fast for the severity of slopes. Tees were almost perfect and the fairways were MUCH better than i remember. This course is a great value for any time of the day, I paid a little under 30 bucks and well worth the price. The marshalls said they have been oding much work and its showing, considering the condition of some of the other courses I have played recently I was not expecting much from this place remembering years past.

I am in town for a few months each summer and must say it seems to be coming around. Will play again.

Played this course July 21st and 28th. The course is looking good. Fairways are still roped off in some area but getting better. Greens were in good shape made some long putts.

Still one of my favortive courses in Ventura.

Wind causes some holes to be challenging. Greens firm but slow to me. Enjoyed the course.

All in all was a pleasant round, never saw cart girl one time, strange for friday. Will definetly be playing again, hope course continues to improve and pace speeds up a bit. Definelty worth coming back.

I had not played here since 1981. I really drove up to play Olivas, but thought, hey I'm here, why not play them both. The course is now a legitimate test. (not difficult but regulation) I wasmost impressed with the greens, they were smooth, resonably fast, and very interesting! They make the otherwise ho-hum layout much more enjoyable to play. Will I drive 150 miles to return - no! But I'm not sorry I tried it while there.

First visit since the renovation and the new layout. Well done on both, a much better course than previously.

Reasonably good experience today, all conditions were quite nice with the exception of the greens. Clumped clippings everywhere, recently top dressed, very bumpy, not on par with the balance of the course.

Favorite part of the course is the real rough that you normally dont find on a municipal. Miss the fairway and you could see your ball sitting deep in the first cut. Makes for a challenging round.

The course now has more character due to its large shapely greens. Pins can be in nasty and easy spots on most of the greens. The in-course OB needs to have a black tip on them to ease the confusion... Continue »

The course now has more character due to its large shapely greens. Pins can be in nasty and easy spots on most of the greens. The in-course OB needs to have a black tip on them to ease the confusion. Greens are recovering nicely from the recent aerification. This course has 1 very long par 3,4, and 5. But at 6054 yards, the other 15 holes are medium to very short in length.
