Wow. My first time at Moorpark. Played the Ridgeline and some of the Creekside until dark. The greens are outstanding, fairways near-perfect, and the whole facility is top-notch. Having never played it, I found the Ridgeline to be quite a stern test, especially off the tee. There's really just no room for error. The par-5s are particularly interesting and testy! I'm looking forward to playing here a lot, especially during summertime on twilight rates - it's in excellent condition and appears like it'll stay that way.

I played this course for the first time last week and it was awesome! Inspite of the windy conditions, the course played very true. There were a couple of holes under a little maintainence because of recent rains, but the attentivness of the green keepers was truely professional. I can not wait to play this course again! The service was excellent, as Tom even helped us save on the green fees for the day. Range balls are the most reasonable that I have ever found. $4 for an unlimited supply! Yes the green fees are a little steep, but definitely worth the outing. If you want a challege and experience some of the most beautiful scenery of mountains, play Moorpark Country Club. The resteraunt at the club house could use some cozyness and the quick snack stand after 9th hole could be better organized, but the refreshment cart comes around often and the service is great. There is one thing I feel needs to be included for the price we pay to play here,... and that is GPS Monitor in all golf carts. This is a luxery that will attract new customers and please loyal ones coming back again.

Came back for some more punishment, wind provided the backdrop. Played Crestview/Creekside. Wierd day, scored well with the wind on the front side and as it died so did my game. Golf O villain, villain, smiling, d%mn ed villain!

Course is in fine shape, greens particularly nice, they have a nice subtle breaks in them, but put very true. Can see that to score well you need to play here a few times. Course rewards good shots and is very harsh on poor ones. Nice experience particularly in the afternoon with views at sunset.

Played the new 9 to check it out. They have yardage markers on some of the spinklers now. T-boxes are left long so they grow in properly, but the rest of the course is in good condition, some oversead... Continue »

Played the new 9 to check it out. They have yardage markers on some of the spinklers now. T-boxes are left long so they grow in properly, but the rest of the course is in good condition, some overseading being done around some of the greens and traps. Traps are in great shape. Greens were particularly nice on both 9's we played. (Creekside other 9) I think I like the other 9's better but will play it a few times before pasing judgment.

This is NOT a walking course....my playing partner got tired riding ! When I first played this course I did not like it too much, as it seemed very unforgiving, overly so. My game has improved so I think I can appreciate it more now, but it still has some holes that could/should be improved. I particularly hate 9 on Creekside, anyone can make a hole difficult by sticking a sand trap in the middle of the fairway.

In my opinion this is NOT a course for the high handicapper, as I think it could be very frustrating, with some of the required shots. It is a very well maintained course and has some beautiful holes, just be forewared....bring lots of balls.

BEUTIFUL & WONDERFUL !!!!! We had tee time 2;19 p.m.but me & my partner arrived 12;50. Course seems to be not so busy,we had lunch at restaurant with very nice view.Starter offered us start earlier if we ready but 1 guy was on the way to get at time we missed that offer .(Hey! PAUL. Can you get to the course always 1 hour before your tee time.STUPID!! CAUSE YOU WE COUDN'T FINISH THE ROUND) . 2;00 p.m was starting twilight time ,more people getting to course. We started canyon crest 9 holes(new).You have to play with your guesswork they had only 150yard marked only but marshall said next week they'll do the measure work.The fairways a lot of wet sectors. Then we passed to creekside .WOW. Much better maintained & very nice layout.EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE.ONE OF THE NICE GOLF COURSE IN SOCAL.

Put us on the new 9 holes (Crestview) wet, immature (heavy watering during the day), overseeding, no yeardage markers. Really was not good. Will be a great course someday. On the back 9, they were starting people while we came around. Alot of confusion, and alot of damage to course. Ridgeline 9 was NOT in good shape, bumpy greens, alot of bare spots. If they are going to charge the fees (which can be fair) then make the course worth it.

Brand new so there's no yard markers, the tee boxes are soft, and the greens don't hold yet, but this will be a great 9 in a while. They really need GPS on this course to speed up play. The 2nd 9 was in excellent condition, especially the greens. $45 for twilight was a good deal.
