construction is complete and looking good. New cart path there too. Played 2:00 twilight and finished in 4 hours. Staff was friendly, as usual.

Course in poor shape overall. Sixth hole is a wreck and the green is losing the battle again. Staff was great.

Played this course yesterday hoping to prepare for a Golf Channel Amateur Tour event I'm playing this weekend. The people there are always wonderful and they didn't disppoint again. Always friendly, cheerful and helpful.
Unfortunately, the course is in as rough a shape as I've seen it in quite a few years. Many of the tee boxes are bare, there are a bunch of bare spots in the fairways, and with the dormant grasses it was tough to ewver find a shot where you weren't hitting from dirt or a very thin lie. The greens were in pretty nice shape.
There is some construction going on right now, with a total redesign of the 6th and 15th holes which will be nice when complete, but this was a disppointing day to be sure.

Played 1/2/09. I always enjoy playing here. It was a typical day at Simi Hills in January. Mid-70s, blowing 20mph, greens were fast, course conditions were respectable, lots of evidence that they are working on the course. Pace was really slow, but was expected with a 11:48 tee time. Got off a few minutes late, finished with just enough light. Cost $54, though, on the border of too much for what you get. Rather go spend that money at Rustic Canyon.

Played today 6/6 at 12 noon from the blue tees. Tee boxes need leveling and some work. Fairways were in decent shape...mostly lush grass..hit and miss wet spots and some spots of ground under repair. ... Continue »

Played today 6/6 at 12 noon from the blue tees. Tee boxes need leveling and some work. Fairways were in decent shape...mostly lush grass..hit and miss wet spots and some spots of ground under repair. The greens were rolling medium speed and were not too fast...held iron shots fairly well. Putted kind of bumpy and you need to hit it firm here to make putts. Some of the rough right around the greens look liked it had just been cut and was not too penal. Was not in the sand once today but playing partners were in several times and they commented that the sand was too firm. Pace of play was good for Simi especially on at Saturday..we finished in 4 hours 30 minutes.
