Played the North course last year and the south is very similar.
lots of elevation change lots of desert for errant shots. Course is very spread out so don't even think about walking. Greens were smooth and medium fast, hard to read. we booked on line and played for $55 on a mon morning in a shade over 4 hrs. If you want to play 36 this is a great place to do it.

2/6 Played in the aft. and was disappointed in the pace. After 4 hrs we were only 12 holes into it. Found out why when we drove in and found a walking group we 3 holes open in front of them. If you allow walking on a course like this, monitor their pace. Left a bad taste in our mouth.
Other than that, a beautiful golf course. Spectacular views, fast greens, one of the most interesting short 3's I've ever seen. Well worth the twilight fee of $35 if they can address the pace issue.

2/6- Golfmedic says these greens are tricky and that is something of an understatement. Numerous false fronts and willingness to cut the pins close to them made for some exciting chipping and lag putting.( I had a downhill 12ftr for birdie and my stroke for par was a chip from 30 yds away. OW!) Challenging layout but i'll bet the wind can grind you up. Greens seemed a little banged up, especially on the shorter par 3's Good pace of play on a Fri morning and friendly staff.

Played the Valley course on 2/8 and the memories from last year came rushing back. What a great venue! Fastest greens I've played in the area and a layout that really makes you think. This was our last stop for this trip and having your game a little sharper really helps cause just being in short grass is not always good enough. If you can place it on the right side of the fairway the holes really open up. We were the 1st 2sm on a Sun morn and played it in just over 3 hrs despite encountering maintenance on every hole. This is a must play even at full weekend rates.

Teed off at 12:30 on 2/7and at 3:20 we walked off the 9th green. Very disappointing for a course that told us several times that they prided themselves on a 4 hr rd. We never saw a ranger and didn't see the beverage cart till #8. I know it's Sat but come on guys, at least make the effort. With the wind picking up we saw the potential for a 6 hr rd and that was too depressing to continue. That said, what we saw of the course was nice. Greens rolled well and held a cleanly struck shot. Holes 2 and 3 parallel each other and contributed to the slow play as faders can reach the adjacent fairways.(we were almost hit by a 2nd shot while standing on #2 tee. Say something guys)#5 is a par 5 that features a 2nd shot down a steep grade to a green you can't see. Another potential bottleneck and again a ball rattled our cart while we stood on 6 tee. Again, no warning. Even w/twilight fees($55) I felt ripped .

Got a chance to play TJ on 2/7.Fast,true greens. Fairways and t-boxes in ex. shape. 1st off on a Sat. so our 3sm played the frt. in 1:40 despite some looking for errant shots. Caught a 4sm that must have gone off the back but stil got around in under 4hrs. Fortinately played w/ a member cause course knowledge is critical on the front. Several blind tee shots and approaches and elevation changes that skew club selection. Back side is more forgiving. Placed on our rotation for next year.
