Played here 10/30/17. Played in a group of 40 guys for a tournament. Course is beautiful and well worth the money. Staff was friendly and POP was 5 hours. Rough needed a little work but fairways and greens were perfect! Tee boxes were 90% great a few had some damage that needed to be repaired but for the most part this course is amazing! Watch out for hole 10. Clearing the creek on 10 you have to carry about 210 to clear the creek and pond. The rock says it's a par 4 but the scorecard says a par 5. It is definitely a par 5. Love this course!

Played Falcon Ridge on the morning of 11/12. It was cold, very, very cold!

First the bad. When I arrived there was a back up in the proshop and everybody was just standing around. The staff didn't communicate to me what the problem was and never really told me "hey, there's a frost delay AND the computers are down so just sit tight for while." Rather, they just stayed on the phone (presumably with their IT folks) and just never addressed the customers. Finally, they got the computers fixed and told me to check in, which I did and said they'd start at 7:45. I had a 7:20 tee time, which was supposed to be the 2nd group, so I anticipated going off around 8am. Being a single, they pushed me to a later group (why did I make a tee time then!?!?) and I ended up not teeing off until 8:30.

Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, except there's no driving range here (big minus in my book) and the starter was asking people not to putt on the practice greens due to the frost delay (totally understandable).

Ok, onto the course. Conditions were quite good, which is typical for this time of year in Mesquite. Greens were smooth, fast, and firm. Fairways were in excellent condition, never had a bad lie and coverage was excellent.

The layout of the course is a little "tricked up," but not too bad. It may have been just the pin placements of the day, but there were multiple greens where the pin was virtually inaccessible given the firmness of the greens. A few of the holes seemed a little "forced," like the par 4 14th that requires a blind downhill approach with a mid-iron to a green protected by a pond, sloping toward the pond. Most of the tees are elevated and you rarely need a driver.

Overall Falcon Ridge scores well for condition, about average for layout, and bit below average for customer service. With the plethora of elite golf courses in Mesquite, not sure I'd come back as I rarely play courses without a driving range.

Golf course conditions were above avg for this time of year with only a few dry patchy spots. Greens in excellent condition. Warm friendly welcoming atmosphere. Late summer rate was perfect. Only negative. No Driving range.

Played 11/30 @ 12pm as 2some behind a slow 3some. Slow group waived us thru on hole 9 so we had clear sailing thereafter and finished in under 4 hours. Tees and fairways were recently overseeded so it was in good condition but not yet completely filled in. Greens rolled well but a little slow. You can tell they've had lots of problems with the greens as there were many signs of previously burned out areas prior to recent aerifying.
First time playing here and we enjoyed the course for the views and elevation changes. However, if you don't know the course well it's easy to lose balls even after what you thought was a good shot. Back 9 views are especially nice here. We were told the designer of Wolf Creek helped in design of back 9 here so it does have a mini Wolf Creek feel.
Good value course and would recommend.

GKer Eaglee joined me on a short trip up to the Mesquite area and we checked out a few of the "other" courses not named Wolf Creek on this visit. First stop was Falcon Ridge. Booked a TeeOff.com deal time with a promo code, so it ended up around $40 a player when most people were paying upwards of $80. Thanksgiving morning shotgun starting at 8:00 and things went relatively smoothly, finishing in about 4.5 hours. Overall, the course was in good winter shape. The tee boxes and fairways were lush and green with mostly excellent surfaces to play from. The rough is a dormant, matted down bermuda that is deceptively tough if the ball sits down at all or you have to hit against the grain. Bunkers fine. Greens good—a bit firm and rolling at medium speeds. This is a really fun layout, highlighted by the back nine which features some more dramatic rugged terrain looping around the canyon. This is definitely a "target" course where some local knowledge is helpful, but most fairways are more forgiving than they look from the tee view. A number of little fairway patches off to the sides and "fingers" where some split off, so there are some interesting looks. There is GPS on the carts and we were playing with a couple guys who had played before, so that made a difference. As others have noted, there are a number of blind shots and a few holes others might deem a bit too "funky," but play it smart and safe and a good score can be had.

Played on Tues. 10/29 day one of a three day Mesquite trip. Course is in nice shape except for the greens. The greens were really slow and very bumpy. I saw workers on three greens replacing sod. Some of them were very large patches. The course looked very lush but there are some areas that are thin.
There are three holes on the back nine that have blind tee shots that are difficult to figure out. They don't have a driving range, just a net to hit into.
If you play in the near future, check with the course to determine the quality of the greens

Enjoyed this layout immensely with the requirements to be a" thinking man" in order to survive. Great elevation changes and views, with fair greens.

Falcon Ridge has replaced Wolf Creek as my new favorite Nevada golf course!
Will be returning next year to play again hopefully.

Played the first day they opened after overseeding for 75 bucks- cart paths only. I liked the layout with some very cool elevation changes and some interesting risk/reward shots.

No driving range kind of sucks but at least they don't charge you for the balls.

Customer service was great and the rest of the course amenities were great too. Would return to play Falcon again. If it was in better condition I would put it on par with Conestoga; I would chalk up some of the lack of finish to the time of year and overseeding.
