We played Oasis Palmer as part of our Mesquite golf trip. We have been coming for three years now and really enjoy the variety of affordable golf in this small town. Oasis is a more traditional layout with some homes surrounding the club. It also has its fair share of holes with no homes and some really neat views.

The course itself is fun to play and in good shape. I would say the greens are a little inconsistent with what I am guessing different types of grass on the greens. The fairways, greens and Tees are a nice green color with good turf coverage. I did shoot my best score of the trip here.

It was a very busy day on the day we played so didnt really get the personalized attention but service was fine. Pace of play for the day was good at around 5 hours which for how busy the course was I didnt have any issues.

Have not played the canyons course yet perhaps next year we put that one in the rotation with Wolf Creek again.

Always a good time with friends and some excellent golf venues in Mesquite.

Nice Layout. Enjoyable course. Elevated tee shots were cool.

Greens were still excellent.

Just a little higher than avg. amount of walking between tees/greens and cart paths.

There is no turn after 9. Take what you need when you start

I also played the other 18 hole layout of the Oasis Golf Club this past weekend. My review for the Canyons course is essentially the same for this, the Palmer course. The track is great in terms of layout and conditions. This layout also gave off an oasis feeling. The course was lush and green throughout. Greens were smooth and tee boxes and fairways were well kept. This course also has plenty of elevation drops....a couple of par 4s and a par 5 that are multi story drops where your tee shots go boom and fly forever. I'm not sure there is anything to add but I'll be out there once again next year!

POP was less than 4 hours.

I played the Palmer course on Monday, June 10th as part of a 24 man outing. We had consecutive tee times starting at about 8:30am. This was the last course I played during my first trip to Mesquite. Between the two 18 hole layouts at this resort, I preferred this one. There's a grass driving range with complimentary range balls and a practice putting green. The course conditions were solid. Tee boxes and fairways were fairly lush and green. I found a couple of tee boxes which weren't perfectly level but nothing significant. The one bunker that I was in was in good condition with soft, white sand and excellent coverage. There was maintenance being performed on some of the later holes and it seemed that some parts, but not all of the rough was aerified recently. It was another warm day but it wasn't as warm as previous days...which was a blessing. I enjoyed the layout as it was a combination of fun and interesting holes mixed with picturesque scenery. Our groups played from the white tees which made for several short-ish holes and ample opportunities to score well. Just as previous reviewers have mentioned, the greens were quite firm. I tend to spin my short irons quite a bit but on this day, balls would roll out a little. It put a high premium on crisply struck irons. I'd recommend this course for large group outings with players of varying skill levels.

Ever try to putt on a table top? That is how I would describe the greens here. Super firm and fast. Couldn't hold a shot and three putts all day long. One of the gentlemen playing with us said he never putted from the back of so many greens in his life.

Beside the penal greens, the conditions of the course were better than good. Tee boxes level, with lush grass. Fairways in great shape and a 3" rough w/o bare spots.

Played here every year since opening in '94 and it keeps getting better. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and rough were all excellent. The only complaint would have to be the greens which were rock-hard. Putts rolled smoothly, but iron shots just bounced and released through the green only stopping because of the rough or a bunker off of the back. (Please lush 'em up before next year!?)

Customer service is always very fine as is the practice facilities.

One more note: Patrick Flynn, who works at the Oasis Golf Club, does a great job in helping you setup your (or your group's) vacation to the Mesquite/St. George area.
