Of all the courses in the St. George area this one has the relatively worst conditions. Its not bad by any stretch but compared to the others its a bit shabby. Dried out fairways and tee boxes run down in a few spots. Greens were very good though and the staff id super friendly and professional. Its prime time here so maybe the traffic is a little heavy. Course is priced very competitively. Still worth a spin.

Played 10/19 and 10/20......First time on this track and man it was really fun. Played from Blues. Offered some short par 4's and a couple very reachable par 5's. Par 4's on the back are a bit longer over 400yrds. Greens excellent, fairways a little long after over seeding but they were butter. The bunkers were well maintained and well placed. 6 shots better on day 2 for me. This course is in a retirement community and can play a bit slow, but honestly it's great to see people out there making their way around the course and enjoying life. I think next time I'll play the tips and work in the longer irons. Great course and worth the drive to Utah.

This was actually my 4th full round today, not counting my quick rain check walk around the Wee Course at Sand Hollow (see my addendum on my Sand Hollow Links review from yesterday). All the courses are so empty after a small morning "rush", it's easy to blaze around in my 2-hour pace. I just kept going. The other two I played (Southgate and Bloomington CC) aren't on the GK database yet, so I'll get to those another time. Otherwise, SunRiver was expectedly empty when I showed up a little before 3:00. $28 afternoon rate was good. I played through one twosome on the back nine and otherwise had it to myself. The course was in fine late summer condition. I sound like a broken record, but the conditions everywhere are pretty comparable. Good enough for August, but not great. Tee boxes and fairways decent with a lot of thin spots. Rough a bit spotty. Bunkers nice. Greens on the firm side, and rolling well at medium speeds. This is another solid course and like almost everything around here, it has a couple different personalities between the front and back nine. Front is a pretty traditional desert parkland style with a few water holes to mix it up. Back spreads out a bit more as you loop out and around part of the community and through some canyon areas. Plays pretty long for a "senior community" course, especially if you dare to tip it out. Not a must-play, but a fine option at the right price.

Played 6-17-18 second out joining another single and finishing in a little under 3 hours, for $41.50 including cart. Tee boxes were mostly level and a little thin but still okay to hit off of. Fairways are transitioning over to summer grass so there is a mix of good and bad some lush some thin and some bare. Rough is a little fuller than fairways but still has some spotty areas. Was in two fairway bunkers that had nice firm sand, was not in any greenside bunkers but they looked to be in okay shape. Greens were rolling pretty nice, medium/fast and semi-soft. Good solid track with a nice variety of holes.
