Rode the Blues (6298/69.6/125) with Super Seniors Clayton, Terry and Mike in 4H, 20M twilight. Delightful guys to get matched up with!. Breezy, clear and around 95. Interesting layout with plenty of elevation changes and some fun holes with water. Very spread out, many tees were a long way from the last green. Numerous holes had a "bowl" effect where there was cactus and native trees lining both sides of the fairway. You did not want to stray off these fairways, it was ugly. Most holes had houses on both sides, but they were far away and rarely came into play. Tees lush, very well maintained with few divots. Fairways mostly lush and nice to play from. Rough a step down from the fairways. Good coverage mowed low, but not nearly as good to play from. Sand traps well maintained with good quality sand. Greens were firm and putted medium speed. Not as smooth as you would prefer to see with more unfixed ball marks, especially on the elevated tee holes. But good overall. Some severe putts could be found on these greens with some of the slopes. Customer service excellent from everyone. Busy range and restaurant onsite. Very friendly feel here. No GPS on the basic carts. Conditions were very playable and the layout was very good. Definitely recommended.

Played Saturday 10/10/20. They had only been open one day since closing for over seeding. The entire course was pristine except for a surprising number of ball marks that had not been fixed. I got as many as I could. Greens were not fast but running very true. Cart path only but the fairways were great. Staff was great, course is fun and challenging, price was great. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite courses in the Green Valley area. Played this weekend with a guy that had never played it before, and he didn't care for some of the blind shots . . he used the term "gimmicky". I like them. It is a course that is much easier played the 2nd time with some course knowledge. The conditions were very good, particularly when you see the condition of the Tucson municipal courses now (awful). The rates are very reasonable at San Ignacio, and they nearly always have some times listed on GolfNow that are even cheaper than their rack rates. This is a very nice course for the money. Fun, challenging for all levels, without a lot of forced carries that scare away the shorter hitters.

Rode solo in GPS equipped cart at $35 < 11:00 on a Tuesday. Course is in great shape for a desert course. Tight fairways and a few blind tee shots from the Blues make this course a challenge. But you won't be two-putting all the greens for they are large and consistent. What makes this an enjoyable round is the value and the elevation changes. I try to vary my course play but I'll definately play this again this year. Don't epect to see Natalie or Paula out there, Green Valley is somewhat of a retirement town.

This is an interesting course. It has several elevation changes, with elevated tee boxes, which I really like. Two of them are on par 3's which make club selection somewhat tricky. Fortunately this time, I was right! There are quite a few doglegs on the course as it winds itself around the native desert landscape, so there are a lot of "hidden" greens until your approach shot. Course knowledge helps a lot here since playing the correct side of the fairway off the tee gives you looks at the greens, while not playing the correct side can leave blind approach shots. This is a fun course to play, the greens are pretty large and inviting. Many are tiered, so hitting the right level gives you a much better chance at avoiding 3-putts. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. With the summer heat hitting Tucson, there were a couple of bare spots on 2 or 3 greens . . but the trade-off was that there wasn't anyone on the course in the early afternoon. It was a very leisurely, non-hurried, casual pace. And still we completed in 3.5 hours. This is a very nice course to play if you're in Green Valley.

Course was a nice touch of standard desert golf. The layout use the terrain and all its natural beauty. Greens were a little on the slow side, but overal course was in good shape. The resturant was closed for a function which required us to use another course near by for food and drink prior to the round. Suggest management figure out a way to host parties and serve golf patrons.
