Played Sat 7/20, 9am shotgun, nice sunny warm day. I love this course... it's my favorite public in the tahoe area. Greens were perfect, fast. Grainy... running a 12-13 downgrain, fast 10 into the grain. The whole course is in great shape. 18 interesting holes. Can see the lake in the distance, as some of the holes frame the lake perfectly. Play the 7-8% altitude distance adjustment to sea level. Have to trust it. I was pin high all day because I did. Always look forward to playing here.

Played Sat 8/6, 8:30 shotgun. Warm, pleasant day. 80s temp. a 1/2 to 1 club wind. Course in great shape. Greens grainy... run like a 13 downgrain, 10 into the grain. My second time here, and it's as great as I remember it. Played it from the blues this time, 6640 yds, which is more like 6000 in the altitude (10-15%)It's a fantastic track, great routing, interesting holes, and beautiful. My favorite public course in the Tahoe area.

Played 6/29, 9am shotgun, as part of a 4 day golf trip. My personal ranking of the 4 I played: Incline Village Championship Course, Old Greenwood, Edgewood, Gray's Crossing. Though all 4 are really great and fun. So, yes, this was my favorite of the bunch. I was told going in that since this was the shortest course of the 4, it would be a lot of non drivers off the tee.. but I did not find that to be the case. There were plenty of driver holes, but a lot of variety off the tee as well. Significant elevation changes throughout the course. Every hole was interesting and had different challenges. Many of the holes were framed beautifully. The greens were fast and grainy. Definitely need to read grain, fast downhill, slow uphill putts. It was a gorgeous, sunny day. No wind. A club worth of altitude. I want to play here again.

We had a 12:10 tee time originally and were somehow able to still make that time despite squeezing in the Mountain Course first. Again, hardly any players out here with the threat of rain and thunderstorms that never really materialized. Just cloudy and gloomy with the sun peeking through every once in a while. We played through a couple groups on the front nine and then had the back nine to ourselves for a surprisingly quick round. This was also a great GolfMoose deal that saves big $$ over their normal weekend rack rates. 2 players for $199 (plus a GK cert to knock even more off the price) was well worth it for this course! The course was in nice condition as they are still kind of in transition into the summer season. The tee boxes were nice. The fairways had lush coverage and were just a bit shaggy. Rough not deep, but the grass in the rough and fairways is very grabby and sticky (especially on a wet day). Bunkers were beautiful. Fairway bunkers have a more firm tan sand while the greenside bunkers have the ultra-white super-soft stuff that looks great. It was a bit damp and compacted with the moisture today, but still looked and played nicely. The greens were very firm and fast. The grass is kind of dappled in color (multiple grasses?) which made it hard to read breaks sometimes, but consistently cut and rolled for smooth/quick surfaces. This is one of the rounds I was looking forward to most on this trip and it didn't disappoint. Fun mountain course that is fairly forgiving off the tee and then get's really tough around the greens with big RTJ Sr. bunkers and false fronts guarding them. A few nice views of Lake Tahoe in the distance that I am sure look even better on a clear day. Just a fantastic and fun golf course that encapsulates the Tahoe spirit.

Played the Championship course at Incline Village on Saturday 7/22. We snagged the first twilight time at 2pm and paid the $140 rate to ride. Middle of summer in Lake Tahoe you can expect inflated golf rates, however, what really bummed me out was the lack of amenities at Incline. the driving range was garbage, hitting off mats w/ 250 yard max (no drivers or woods allowed and remember we are at 7,000 of elevation so everything plays 9%-10% less than yardage on ground). What I really thought was weird was that range balls weren't included and thats even at the 180$ rack rate? Pretty criminal, in my opinion.

All things aside, the course was spectacular. Very interesting layout with a great mix of holes. The combination of holes and bunker placement made for a very challenging and fun day on the links. The conditions were pretty solid. The fairways were in great condition but a few GUR areas and some thin spots but i would say 85-90% coverage throughout. The highlight was by far the greens. Firm and lightning fast maybe rolling just under a 12 on the stimp.

I would return here but not before playing Coyote Moon or Schaffer's Mill which I felt had a better golf experience from start to finish.

Course is much improved since my last visit three years ago. Greens are very firm, but smooth and medium fast. Fairways and rough were green -- a few bare spots in the fairway; rough was long and thick. Tees are fine, with some bare spots, especially on the par 3s. Bunkers are deep; fairway bunkers do not allow shots to the green.

Course is tight; seems every hole is a dog leg. Lots of overhanging trees, particularly off the tee so you have to aim correctly. Very hilly, no flat lies.

Just a tough course to play. IMO much harder than Edgewood which at least has many more flat lies.

Range included in green fees, but I hate hitting from mats. Nice putting green which is the same speed as the course greens. Cart guys were prompt both coming and going, beverage cart service was good and folks were generally friendly and appreciative that we were there.

GPS on carts is quite good. Shows each hole layout and distance to bunkers, creeks, and green. Shows the exact hole location and distance to flag so there must be some communication between flagstick and GPS unit.

If you want to play a tough course and have $180 to spare, Incline is your course.

Played IV Champ course 7/23 at twilight using GolfNow for max savings. The course is in very good to excellent condition. I get the sense they may have punched the fairway in the past 30 days or so as tee balls tended to find indentations in the fairways making contact for this bogey golfer troublesome at times. Greens were smooth and bunkers had the proper amount of sand. Definitely a must play if you are in Lake Tahoe and are put off by the $240 greenies at Edgewood down in South Lake Tahoe, as I was.

Amazing course. Recently opened so there were a couple spots in the fairways on some holes that were bare, but other than that minor detail, the course was fantastic. Gorgeous views and after 430 you can walk the course for $2 per hole which is the deal of a lifetime. Wish I lived in the area so I could play it more.
