Pace of play was slow, probably typical for a Saturday afternoon. Used click4teetimes.com for a decent rate with a cart. Small, scenic course with many short par 4s and 5s, but because of o.b., hazards, mature trees and small greens pretty much had to play as such. A couple of long, 200+ yard par 3s. Typical muni style course with kikuyu grass throughout and poa/bentgrass greens. Good place to practice the short game.

Played on Saturday, April 21. Parking was not very well marked. Small lot across the street from the club house by the small driving range. Crowded conditions there and at the small practice putting green. Starter was friendly enough - other postings had indicated that service wasn't very friendly. Got out about 20 to 30 minutes later than our 2:24 reservation. Sending groups off on the back nine, probably due to some tourney or something. Had to be about 3 hours to finish nine holes. Picked up on the second nine. Ran out of daylight at the last hole. Greens were soft and somewhat smooth, except for a few fresh ball marks not being fixed by the groups ahead of us. As mentioned in other postings, target golf is the name of the game here. Long is not necessarily good.

This is a really fun golf course. Bring every club in the bag. I think I teed off with my Driver, 5 Wood, Hybrid, 4 Iron, 5 Iron, and 6 Iron when I played there on 4/7, and that was just on par 4s and 5s.

Greens have recovered nicely from Aeration in mid-late March. Still a little shabby and a few bumps, but balls still rolled true for the most part. Fairways and rough in typical SoCal muni condition. Some nice ares, some bare areas, lots of roll. Traps were a little too fluffy (I'm talking about you #15!!!) but still played well.

The staff has improved since my last visit. Starter was very courteous, helping us pay quickly, get a cart, and he even let us out as a 2-some because it happened to be dead at the moment.

Only negative...Tee Boxes were absolutely abysmal. Maybe it has to do with the fact that a lot of people use Irons on a lot of holes, but still, they were very unlevel, lots of bare spots, not including divots, and muddy. Just doesn't make sense.

Still had a good time. Will definately be back, especially for $43 including cart at peak weekend times.

Played DeBell today. Pace of play was very good. We played our round as a twosome starting at 11:30 a.m. and finished 4 hours later at 3:30 p.m.

Played DeBell today. Pace of play was very good. We played our round as a twosome starting at 11:30 a.m. and finished 4 hours later at 3:30 p.m.

I thought the tee boxes were in some what of a shabby condition. There were a lot of divots and bare spots, and a ton of broken tees.

The fairways were in very good shape. The greens were in good shape considering they had been aerated in the last couple of weeks.

This is the second time I have played DeBell and I really like the layout. It is a challenging course that rewards good shots and you pay for bad ones - a lot of out of bounds.

Staff very helpful. Marshalls were working the course effectively.

Don't let the course's short length fool you. This is a very challenging course that winds it way through a canyon like setting. Knowledge of the course is essential to a good score.

Don't let the course's short length fool you. This is a very challenging course that winds it way through a canyon like setting. Knowledge of the course is essential to a good score.

The only negative is that the staff in the pro shop/starter is very rude. They seem to think they are doing you a favor by answering the phone, giving you a tee time and selling your merchandise.

Played at 2/17 at 9:00 a.m. Tough short course. Bring your long irons.

Course in pretty good condition. Greens really soft. Starter a jerk. Pretty inexpensive for a Saturday Morning. Booked on click4teetimes night before. Really slow round. Backups on a lot of holes because of the short distance and the large group of ladies in front of us.

Bartender very nice, got us our stuff quick so we could hit the back 9. Will come back again, but book online, because the staff is very unresponsive.
