Played Monday 9/5/2016. Teed off at 7:15 am and finished about 11:30 a.m. For a muni track, Hansen Dam is in very good shape. Fairways are green with only a few bare spots. Tees are in good shape and the greens are quite good as well. They make very good use of recycled water. I have always like the layout of the course. For most players the course is not easy, nor hard. Lots of elevation changes and doglegs. The people who man the starter's window are always courteous and helpful.

Played Saturday 6/27/2015. Went out as a threesome. Round took about 4 1/2 hours. Course was in beautiful condition. Best I have ever seen it over the last 10 years. Fairways were mowed and green. Greens were smooth and very few if any ball marks. Hopefully, they will continue to maintain it.

Played Encino on May 25, 2015. Greens were in very good condition. Taking drought into consideration, the fairways and rough were not too bad, but far from ideal. You get the sense that they are doing the best they can do. I have played Encino many times and have always enjoyed the course, and I did so on May 25, 2015. Course is not easy, but not difficult either. A mediocre golfer like me can play an enjoyable round and not feel beat up by the course. Pace of play was excellent. We finished our round in just a few minutes over 4 hours.

First time playing this course. We played from the white tees which listed at just over 6000 yds, par 72. Length deceiving as most fairways are narrow, elevation changes, blind shots.

Condition of course was excellent. Fairways in great shape, greens well maintained. Pretty fast. Sand traps were in great shape (wish I was unable to rate them)

5 hour round only drawback, but minor one.

This course is pretty difficult for the average duffer like me, but not unfairly or ridiculously so. Course management is the key. On 4 or 5 of the par 4 and 5s you will not want to use a driver as you will drive into a hazard or out of bounds.

I look forward to returning to San Dimas Canyon for a rematch, as the course definitely beat me .

Played on October 27, 2013. Tee time was 11:00 am. We got out a little before 11:15 am. Finished at about 4:30 pm. I think they put more groups out per hour than most courses. Also they let fivesomes go out. While marshals do patrol course, they do not do anything to hasten the pace of play...

I have always liked Knollwood. The course is challenging for all levels of golfers. The holes are not all the same, which makes for a much more interesting and enjoyable round.

Tees: Somewhat chopped up, which is unusual. On many holes the blue and white tees were the same.

Fairways: In pretty good shape.

Rough: Some bare spots, but overall, pretty decent. Not too thick.

Greens: They had been aerated recently. No sand, but the holes were still present. A little on the slow side and a little bumpy. I am sure the greens will get better as the aeration holes heal.

Sand: Bunkers were good. Sand fairly soft.

4:35 hours Not too bad for a Saturday at a Muni course

Had not not played at Hansen Dam in a few years. Surprised that they reversed the nines. Do not know why, but really does not change my opinion of course. I have always liked the course, and considered it somewhat challenging, at least for a duffer like me.

Lots of dog legs, fairways are fairly wide, some long par 4s and a couple of challenging short par 4s. Lots of elevation changes.

Thought the course was in reasonably good condition.

The greens had been aerated about 1 1/2 weeks prior to our round. There was still some sand and holes on greens, but did not really affect my putting. A little bumpy and hard to judge speed.

Fairways in good shape provided good lies.

Pace of play was very good as we finished 18 holes in just over 4 1/2 hours.

Golf course personnel are very friendly.

I hope to play at Hansen Dam again sooner than later.

Played Rancho Park on Saturday 6/22/2013. Teed off at 2:12 pm and finished 18 holes about 7:15 pm. 5 hours at Rancho on a Saturday afternoon is not too bad. I thought the course was in pretty good shape. Fairways were pretty lush. Greens were in good repair. Tees could have been manicured a little better.

Played Rancho Park on Friday June 7, 2013 with 3 friends. Tee time was 8:12 am. We started on time and finished about 12:30 pm. The lady in the starter's office was very pleasant and helpful as was the person manning the carts. I have always liked Rancho. I like the layout of the course. Every hole is different, there are subtle elevation changes, and some not so subtle elevation changes. The greens were in very good condition as were the fairways. The tees were a little ragged. If you can, play during the week and you enjoyment of the course will be multiplied as the pace of play is so much better.

Played the Recreation OPark 18 hole course for the first time on Saturday 5/11/2013. Last minute plans. Got 2:45 pm tee time for 2 on-line at about 1:30 pm. We got there a few minutes late, but starter got us out a 3pm.

Loved the course. The course wa in very good condition and very well maintained, fairways, greens, rough and tee boxes. Course has lots of ups and downs in the terrain which puts a premium on club choice.

I look forward to playing at Recreation Park again, hopefully sooner than later.

Played on Friday 5/3/2013 at 11:00 am. Round took about 4.5 hours. Not too bad for Knollwood which can be notoriously slow. The course was in pretty good condition. The greens were being aerated, but only on 1/2 of the green. The greens were slow, even on down slopes. Tees were fairly good, some divot marks. Fairways were average and the rough was a little bare in spots. I never score very well at Knollwood, but nonetheless, I always enjoy playing the course. If you drive in the fairways you will be rewarded. Drive out of the fairway and you will usually pay for it with at least one stroke, maybe two. The staff was very friendly as usual.

Wanted to play twilight and called at last minute and got a 3pm time. Started right at 3pm. Finished at 7:45pm. Last two holes were a increasingly getting dark. I really like Rancho with its elevation changes and doglegs. Every hole is somewhat different. If you stay in fairway your score will reflect your accuracy. Leave the fairway and you will give up shots. Greens were in fairly good shape, but as we played late in day, they were a little bumpy at time. Fairways were in very commendable shape for a muni course that gets a lot of play 365 days per year.

Twilite fees are a bargain if you tee off close to the beginning of twilight, otherwise you will not finish 18 holes.

I will return again and again.

Played Wilson on August 23, 2012 with usual foursome. Started at about 9:45am and finished around 2:45pm. Pace a little on slow side. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were a little fast, but held shots, unless you mi sh$t chip or pitch, as I usually do. Lots of elevation changes and doglegs which make a fun round, no matter how good or bad you shoot.
