Played Saturday, October 24 at about 8:15 am. I have never walked on before as a single on this course. It was not good. Quite busy with few openings. I was third on the list (all singles) and it took almost an hour and a half to get out. The staff was pleasant and professional though, no complaints there. Pace of play was solidly over five hours. The course is walkable but with some climbs. It was a pretty good workout for me.

The course was in decent shape. There were some bare spots in the fairways. There were also some surprisingly lush spots in the rough. I lost two balls where I had a pretty good idea where they were going to end up. I consider myself above average at keeping track of where my ball is going. That rep took a hit on Saturday.

The sand was hit and miss. There were some ancient footprints in a couple which left me wondering when the last time the bunkers were raked. I had decent sand in the only greenside bunker I was in. The tee boxes were only okay. Some of them one had to search for a level spot.

The greens were good. They were decently fast where I had to respect downhill putts. They were also deceptive about downhill/uphill or they were inconsistent. There were quite a few divot and spike marks but overall I found the greens to be true. They were very soft which may have contributed to the spike marks I saw.

Overall, I like the track. The freeway noise can be a distraction. The course layout has good diversity. I actually used every club, which happens less often than it should. The par threes are relatively long from the blue tees (we were playing the monuments because the tees were generally forward) but they have interesting elevation differences. I'll play it again but I will think twice about walking on in October.
