This course is in the best shape it has been since last August. Greens are fast but hold iron shots and the fairways have come around nicely, the best deal anywhere.

This course was surprisingly in good condition when compared to Rec Park or Lakewood CC. The fairways were beautiful with only a few bare spots. Greens were in good condition but were very fast. Pace of pay was much slower than normal today. It took about 5.5 hrs to play, when normally it would only take 5 hours. Overall in excellent condition.

Overall the course was in good condition. The greens, however, were rock hard and faster than I have ever played at any course.

El Dorado is my back nine home course for Sunday mornings. On this particular occasion, it was very nice to see the front nine.

First, the items that I rated as poor or not so good, such as bare spots or green damage, are all due to player sensibilities. Some people fill their divots on the fairways and tend to theirs on the greens. Others do not. I always thought marshalls should be rewarding players (on occasion) for going the extra mile.

The fairways were very nice and smooth. My ball rolled a few extra yards. Also, the greens were very soft at times, holding my wedge shots. The greens were not very honest in their readings, however. Or perhaps I need to review more agronomy.

The tee boxes were a bit disappointing, though, especially in the par three's. And it is this that I blame other golfers. The greenskeepers are there to enhance the conditions of the course, not merely pick up after golfers who do not practice good etiquette.

Worth the money? You bet. $29 could not have been spent better. I like Rio Hondo too, at $45, but that is another story. These aforementioned courses are a bit different, and garner different fees.

Another good course, and challenging at that, is Cypress Golf Club. But I tend to run into too many egomaniacs there.

It was a warm/windy day at eldo. The sun was out and we were playing golf. Eldo was in good shape on Monday!!! Played with a group of local ladies and a young man with a picture perfect swing. Tempo, smooth, balanced ! I had a golf lesson on every shot of his. The greens were rolling very well, with just a little moisture on them. The young fellow needed to learn to fix his ball marks, that was his only fault, it is a bad habit to get into!!!! Rain today, so no back to back eldo for me. Hit it in the short stuff, and get it on the green at eldo.

Course was in ok shape. Course layout was fine. Some holes were challenging however, all in all a rather short course from the blues.

Being a member of the mens club here I have seen this course in the best and worst conditions. Having played on 11/1/03 & 11/02/03. It had rained the night before 11/1. and the course was not to bad. People have to start fixing there divots and there ball marks on the greens. Fixed at least three huge ones besides my own, all the areation work will be for naught. The fairways do have some very thin patches and it looks like that can be taken care of if the course would trim the trees a little and let the sun in so some grass could grow. The pace of play is always slower here due to the thick rough and now also because Skylinks is closed.
