Played today 8/31 with an early-bird twilight discount, but will come back at regular prices. Fairways were the best I've seen in Socal this summer , and I've played all over the east county,OC, and inland empire. First course to not have any type of divot damage to its greens, kudos to those who play here,you should be proud of yourselves ( take note, you who play Sierra Lakes on a regular basis). Pace was great, never saw the group in front or behind us and finished in 3:50.

Course was everything I heard about. Narrow fairways, blind shots, uphill, downhill, sidehill etc etc. For my first time here , I scored pretty well and had a great time. The only bad thing was that the tee-boxes were being worked on and had recently been punched. Seeing the beverage cart 6 times made up for that.

Played the Babe eight days ago, and it was in great shape. The tee boxes (the blacks anyway) were in great shape, as usual. The greens rolled very true and somewhat fast; they were also quite receptive. I have always been impressed with the conditions of this golf course every time I play it. I play it at least three times a year and am never disappointed. You really have to work your ball off the tee here from the tips. I think this course is more challenging from the tee than the Ike. I also think it's a tougher course in general than the Ike. I wish they would play the pro qualifiers on the Babe instead.

What a classic course! The greens roll true and have very few bad spots. Lush fairways and average rough. Very tight course surrounded by trees. Keep your tee shots in the fairway and you can score well here. The only negatives were the pace of play, no marshalls, and distances are not marked very well. Worth every penny in my opinion.

Overall the track was wonderful, the weather was nice and the play was never slowed (we finished in about 4 1/2 hours). I have always loved both the Babe and the Ike over the years and this day was not a disappointment.

Question: Does the Finicular(?) ever run during the week?? I have been there numerous times in the past 10 years and NEVER has it been running!

The babe was in really good condition yesterday. Kind of a drag with the cart path only rule. Talked to the guys in the shop and they said it will be cart path only on both courses until April. I think Zahairas is the more difficult of the two Industry Hills golf courses. Ike may be longer but no way as tight off the tee. Either way you can’t go wrong picking between the two. Bring your straight shots and putting touch or it will be a long day on the babe.

Considering all of the hype, I really wasn't "stunned" by the course.
"Ike" was closed, so that caused there to be a lot more golfers out on the course. That made for a 5+ hour round as we were sandwiched by golfers zigzaging their shots across the fairways. We had at least one group waiting on every tee through the first 11 holes (3 groups waiting on #7).
The course layout and design is a good test as you have various targets in the fairway to aim your tee shot. Varied hole lengths and small greens give the course a very distinctive feel. The greens putted fast and were undulating enough to provide real challenges. Most pin positions were in the corners of the green, which made approaches to the green something to handle with care.
The weekday rate would be acceptable for the weekend as I consider the course to be valued in the $50 range. Upgrades would be in order for the starter/marshall (spread out groups), on the course food service carts (looked like they used box tops to hold items), better protection/screening for tee boxes near greens. I would definitely like to play it again and I would hope for a better experience.
