This course isn't worth the $$, anymore.
The fairways and roughs are badly maintained. Lots of severe damages. From what I see, many of the shaded areas could not get any sunlight, so they are always wet and muddy. Carts drive through those grasses and make HUGE DAMAGES.
The tee boxes are badly maintained as well.
The greens are fair, but they're getting worse. They used to be very smooth and green.

Course in fantastic conditions right now...I'd give it an 8 overall...
Played from the White Tees and enjoyed the round very much...
Didn't need to hit Driver on too many holes here, as the course puts a premium on accuracy off the tee over pure distance...Just wish I could have made a few more putts!!! Can't wait to play it again!!! Easier of the two course around the greens and on the greens...

Played this morning at sunrise. The course was in pristine condition. They aerated the greens two weeks ago and they were rolling really nicely. You couldn't even tell they had been recently punched. This course is one of the best values in the L.A. area, especially for the price. A course like this in Orange County would cost two to three times as much. The only minor grip I have is that the tee boxes were a little shaggy. The greens and fairways were perfect. The "Babe" is a great layout; short, tight, and challenging. The most challenging thing about the course is the greens. Even after playing this course dozens of times, some of the breaks in the greens still defy belief. This course also places a premium on accuracy off the tee. The difference between the white tees and the blacks is like playing another course. My dad played from the whites; it was almost like cheating. Teeing off of the blacks force you to work the ball both ways off the tee. Some of the holes are very penalizing to the longer hitters. Some of the doglegs start around 270 or 280, so it requires a good bit of curvature off the tee on some holes. Holes 12 and 16 specifically come to mind. I love this track.

How's this little gem has grown! Tight, course knowledge a must, greens are tough to read, and fairways are nice. Play it smart to post a decent score, go for broke and reap the consequences!

Worth the twilight fee; not sure if I would pay more. Certainly one of the hardest courses in LA. Very nice course layouts. We played 2 days before they were aerifying resulting in very hard greens. I'm sure the course is near perfect in Summer. I'll go back for sure.
