Played the Babe on 25th Special... I have played the Ike on several occassions and his sister is just as tough! It was a little soggy on a few holes (mid-fairway drains on backside), but that is certainly to be expected since we are getting Seattle's weather. Playing from the blues, you would be well advised to take your long irons out on several holes (definitely on #2 & 3, as well as a couple on the back side) off the tees. Greens were running a bit slow, but held lines very well. Picturesque course with the exception of #9 that gives a glimpse of the community at the bottom of the hill. The guys I played with ran through about a dozen golf balls, but they had a good time doing so.

I played this course for the first time with the $25 special they ran on the 25th (something they are doing this year for their 25th anniversary). It is a tough course, but very nice. Tight fairways (nicely maintained also) and a great layout, makes keeping it in the fairway a must. The greens are receptive and moderately fast. I played just after some record setting rains, so the course was playing a little longer and slower than normal. If you want a great test of your game and some nice views give this a try. And this is the easier of the two courses!

Great course. It will eat you alive if you're not careful. Narrow. Tough greens. Sand in traps was very consistent and fluffy. Fairways had some divot damage and some very wet spots. CART PATH ONLY. Which was fine, but slowed down play. Play from the correct tees. Don't be a macho man and play tees you shouldn't. Only complaint: very crappy golf carts. Worse than carnival bumper cars. If I were a resort guest, I'd be embarrassed to be seen in these carts. That aside, it's a wonderful course and an incredible challenge.

Played the Babe on MLK Day. Pace of play was great. Course was challenging and very scenic. The only drag is the 90 degree rule. Especially playing there for the first time, it mad it hard to gauge distance. All in all a fun day, but I can think of better places for the price.

Greans are fact and if you are above the hole, you may give away a stroke. The management needs to get their act together in terms of coordination and repairs due to the high traffic ... some time less is more. Stagger the people and charge more.

Played 10/28, course was in good shape. Started at 7am. Was supposed to rain but didn't. It turned out to be a beautiful morning. The greens rolled great, and only slightly less than three weeks after aeration/seeding. The fairways were extremely wet from the downpour the night before, but I didn't get any plugged lies in the fairway, which tells me that the fairways have decent firmness. Bunkers were nice, rough was nice too. The only thing that needs improvement is the Funicular. I've played the course 3 times in the last year, and it has not been operational for any of the three rounds I've played. It is quite a walk from 18 of "Babe" to the clubhouse. Whew!

Played in a scramble tournament on 10/22. After the recent overseeding, and the rains, the fairways were extremely lush. In many areas, they actually played like light rough. The greens were very receptive to iron shots. I was actually able to back up a pitch from 55 yards out on 18, making me feel like a pro. Because it was a scramble format, I didn't spend much time in the rough or the sand, but they both appeared to be in good condition, especially the bunkers. Greens were a shade slower than normal because of the rains. Customer service is top-notch there. I especially like the practice range and chipping area. Although shorter than the Ike, probably plays as a harder course because of the narrowness of the fairways and the overhanging trees.
