I don't know about 11.5 but the greens are running pretty decent for Lakewood. We were pleasantly surprised. Weekday play is definitely worth it. Weekend play is 6+ hrs.

Played here for the 1st time on 1/19 since we had MLK Day off. Have to agree with the comments on the greens, they were in great shape. 11.5 was dead on, and if you were above the hole, three putting was no joke.

Some of the fairways need work though...dry and thin in spots...hopefully the new greenskeeper will work on those.

For the price a great deal.

Played the back 9 of the home course and I have to say in the 6 years Ive lived here I have never seen it so nice. The greens were fast and true and the fairways were in great shape. The sand can be heavy so dont dig to deep- it wont go anywere- but it is fluffy- i think they changed it out a few years ago when the added fairway bunkers on some of the courses. I heard through the grapevine they have a new greenskeeper there and it definately has shown- Kuddos!

I could not believe it, is this the same lakewood. Kudos to the new greenskeeper. These greens were great. It is not shaggy and slow anymore. The greens will test your putting skills because it is fast. The pro shop said the stimpmeter was at 11.5 and it was true. the course played great. Only bad thing was every group that went out were 5 somes. Made for a slow round but enjoyed it very much. Make sure you practice on the putting green and bring your A putting game or else you will be three putting a lot.

Played 12/5 in the annual Kris Kringle Tournament to benefit Project Shepherd. Played Scotch rules (alternate shot), so didn't get a real chance to play regulation, but the course is in great shape. The greens are fast, but true (do yourself a favor and hit the putting green prior to going out). The fairways are green and lush, and the tee boxes were in superb shape. Nice to see my "local" course looking good!

practice greens are nice, 18 greens are aerated. Supposely they aerated 2 weeks to a month ago. Give it about a month to recover.

Fun course to play but greens are really in need of work. Bad round for me but not courses falt. great deal at 43 bucks to ride ,i'll play it again.
