18 is open now but still alot of construction going on. I guess there was no time to cut greens and fairways. Still I always enjoy playing here. Great layout and when they use that new back tee on 18, I hope they convert it to a par 5 because it's already the toughest tee shot there.

GREAT COURSE. USE TO BE MY HOME COURSE YEARS AGO AND NEVER A BAD DAY HERE. THEY ARE WORKING ON THE COURSE SO LOTS OF NOISE AND 18 WAS CLOSED. STILL GREAT COURSE AND GREAT PEOPLE HERE.

played fri 3/24. #10 closed today. Course in good shape. Busy today. It says something about a course when it plays 17 holes and you can't get on as a single on a friday morning. got there at 9, only one on the list. tourney at 10, couldn't get me out. They let me leave and come back at 11 so I could run some errands. Got on at 11:30 after the tourney. Slow round, but enjoyable nonetheless. Pro shop/starter were very nice about everything. Can't wait till the work is done.

What a pleasure it is play these old traditional tracks. A nice departure from the "new designs" and $100 green fees typical to So Orange County. Like walk in the park. Except for having #8 closed due to irrigation being installed, the course was in some of the best condition I've seen it in, particularly the greens. My only complaint is that instead of closing the hole completely, why not just set the tees up and play it as a short par 3? Otherwise the course was fine.

Played at Santa Anita on Sat & Sun. Weather was bit cold and wet but had a great time. Fairways are in good condition. Greens are bit soft and slower due to rain. Everything was good except golfe... Continue »

Played at Santa Anita on Sat & Sun. Weather was bit cold and wet but had a great time. Fairways are in good condition. Greens are bit soft and slower due to rain. Everything was good except golfers. People in front of us did not fix their ball marks on the greens. We had to fix two or three ball marks on each holes. People at the snack shop is nice and friendly. Had a Great weekend!

First time playing at Santa Anita Golf course. Very nice and well manged course. They are going through new sprinkler system upgrades but didn't affect the game. Fairways and greeens are good. Even though they have short par 4 holes, their greens are pretty well protected by bunkers. Their pin placements and the greens are bit challenging. Most of the holes are titled one way or another. I had a difficult time with my putting all day. Frustrating day but very interesting course. I definitely will be going back to challenge the greens once again... hope I could improve ...

If you really don't want to play only 17 holes, then make sure what the condition is for the day. During the week, they have been closing one hole for irrigation work. So you should ask before you go out. It's been several months now, not sure how much longer. Otherwise, the open 17 holes are always in great shape.

Went over to Santa Anita and found out it was playing only 17 holes (#3 closed for sprinklers)
