Played Scholl Canyon for the first time today, and what a fun little course it is!

Even though it's a short par 60, there were definitely enough challenges to keep things very interesting. In fact, there are several holes on the back 9 that will test both your club selection strategies and your precision shotmaking skills -- especially the narrow, canyon-surrounded green on 14 and the dogleg-across-a-chasm challenge on 13. And the elevation changes and canyon wind conditions can make for some difficult decisions.

The greens' placement on the hills -- and the somewhat skewed perspective they present -- make reading them a little tricky, though if you play the course enough (like Los Verdes), I'm sure you get to know their personalities.

The course was in relatively good shape; however, I was surprised to see some dried out brown patches on the fairways just a few days after a decent-sized (by California standards) rainstorm. I must agree, though, with an earlier comment about the number of ball marks on the greens. Frankly, there shouldn't be any par 3 or executive courses that let players on without a) asking if each player has a repair tool and b) asking if they know how to use it. When the very premise of your course is to crank up the short irons and send balls high and short, you need to make sure your clientele understands proper ball mark etiquette.

Scholl Canyon was an alright course. THe price was just like the regular city course but is much smaller. A lot of small par 3's but the view of Los Angeles might be worth it for some of you because it was a clear day on Sunday at it was beautiful. You'll have a good challange and you're playing golf so who care's about anything else. Have a bear and smile!!!!!!

This is a very quirky little course. Our tee time was around 7am on 07/21 and we got on promptly. Although the course is short, it requires good club selection and ball placement. The greens were a little tricky and the view is very nice. This course is good for intermediate players but not for beginners. The playing conditions were good and the price is cheap (around $32 to ride depending on how you book).

Probably one of the best scenic par 3 course around. Views of downtown LA, Downtown Glendale, and pasadena. Good course to work on your short game. Conditions of the course isnt very good right now due to aerated greens. But always fun to drive a par 4 on one.

I haven;t played here in a while. But its pretty much as i remembered. 3 of us got through in about 2 hours. Was pretty wide open around 2pm on saturday. On the most part the course is playing pretty well. Great for the short game practice. Tee boxes need to be leveled a bit. Fairways were a bit dry, but pretty good. Traps were excellent apart from the ones with huge puddles of water in them. greens were excellent. fast and firm. I just wish all the beginners would learn how to fix ball marks. i would fix 3-4 just around mine on every hole.

i recommend playing there. massive elevation changes and fun holes. if you are not consistant in hitting your wedges straight with loft, be prepared to lose a bunch of balls on the back 9

Scholl Canyon is a very fun course to play. Set in the beautiful mountains you have some very picaresque views of nature. Great course to work on your short game with a challenge. Very nice driving range with a view of Downtown LA on a clear day. This is a gem that someone could only find on the internet or by word of mouth in my opinion. Thats how I actually discovered it.
