Played 7/16. I played the course back in November when it first opened, and conditions are consistant as they were at the opening over all good, only real issues are the overly saturated areas. The other issue are the greens, they don't seem to bounce back well from ball mark repair. It seems like most are trying to repair their marks, but the greens look very scarred and it does affect your putt. Also, I think 62.50 is 10.00 more than it should be. It's just not that much better than El Dorado when it's in good shape. But it does make it easier to get a time when you can't find someting elsewhere. Lastly, 5 1/2 hours with a 9 AM tee time is too long by 45 minutes, no marshalls anywere in sight.

A side note for the casual golfer. FIX YOUR BLOODY DIVOTS. I mean is it so hard? That and DON"T DRAG YOUR FEET ON THE BLOODY GREENS. Metal spikes are accepted on this course but if you have to drag your feet on the greens when you walk perhaps you're better suited not walking upright and dragging your knuckles on the ground instead of playing golf. Play was rather slow because of a tournament we played behind. Overall though experience was good. Greens very hard and fast. Best shots were layups that would bounce on the greens. Fairways in great shape and very lush. Expected for slow play and wasn't suprised. Although I would appreciate some of these weekend warrriors, and you know who you are, to respect the golf course and fix your divots, repair your ball marks and walk like a human being should by lifting your feet.

This was the second time I have played the "new" Skylinks. The first time was right after it re-opened. Teed off at 1:30 PM played as a twosome. Pace of play was excellent, however the condition of the course is only fair in my opinion. Tee boxes are very firm and bare in many areas. Fairways are good with the exception of weeds growing in old divot holes. Greens are firm, putt very true but have multiple old ball marks. Lack of etiqutte by those who do not repair ball marks. Sand traps are excellent. I like the new design and routing however for the price I do not believe that the course condition matches that of El Dorado or Rec Park. Course superintendent has a challenge to restore the course in better condition.

Whoever is doing the hole placements most likely is not a golfer. The hole placements that we had on 5/8/05 were stupid. These greens since the makeover have one or two ridges going thru every green with plenty of space to put pin placements in between and to put the pins on the side of a slope with no chance of making the putt is ridiculous. The course otherwise is very good. The sand traps are some of the best of any course around.

First time palying this course. I though the greens were fantastic... very smooth with no bare spots. Fairways were nice as well. I was mildy irritated with the chunks and tufts of long grass scattered around in the rough but that's really my fault for spending too much time outside the fairways. The only real complaint I have is the range nets are way too short. The 10th and 14th holes were littered with stray rangeballs and I had one roll up to within 10 feet while preparing to paly a shot... just a bit distracting. On the whole i'd say the course is worth the $34 resident fee after 2 but at $50+ I think I'd look elsewhere.

The only thing I can say good about this course is the greens are in good shape. They are big, with lots of undulations, and can be difficult to 2 putt if you are on the wrong tier, but they do roll nicely, unlike the greens at Eldo or Rec Park.

Still it took almost 6 hours to play on Saturday, having to wait at virtually every tee box. Whatever happened to tee times every 10 minutes and that country club experience.

Definitely not worth $38 to walk on the weekends, and that is the resident rate. Non residents pay even more.
