Ditto accross the board... greens and sand traps are excellent. Greens are hard and fast. Comparable to courses of $75+ a round. Divits everywhere as this course is heavly played. 30-40 pools of water all over the course from the heavy rains. The challenging greens make it worth the price.

They did a great job of redoing the greens on this course. They are no longer boring oval and circular shapes. They are larger and have many contours making for many easy to very difficult pin placements. The greens roll true and are well bunkered. If you can hit it 240+ yards off the tee there will be fairway bunkers to negotiate. High lips and ameoba like shapes make these bunkers a challenge to hit out of. Despite this, In my opinion, this course is about $10-15 overpriced. $41 for a weekday walker is too much. The fairways are rock hard with divots everywhere. There were about 40 areas of casual water. The drainage is obviously very poor. The layout is almost the same as before. Most links courses have more humps and bumps, Skylinks is too boringly flat. Lakewood, ElDorado, and Rec. Park are just as good or better than Skylinks at a lesser price.

Price is way to high ($53.50) for weekday. Greens are very difficult but good.

My first round since the remodel, and it was about what I expected. I found the course to be basically the same layout, but with many refinements and improvements. I liked it! The old Skylinks was not partically special, so this adds a nice addition to the Long Beach courses. I was surprised how empty the course was, but given the price desparity between Eldo & Rec, I understand. (I would still rather play those courses even if the price were equal, but given the additional $$, that explains the absence of players. (I'm betting in time the cost for the other two will increase and this course will decrease)

Easily the best course in Long Beach right now. The new greens are not your typical elevated front to back sloped greens, just about every green has one or two ridges running thru them making it very important to get the ball on the right level.
The bunkers are the best with the quality of the sand you would expect at higher end courses.

Enjoyed the course in spite of some remnants of the storms. Greens are very good, but I'd have to play them several more times to figure them out. The fairways were still wet, but they should recover nicely in a week. There were quite a few extra "water hazards" because of standing water in the low areas of the course. Fortunately they are not in the primary landing areas, mostly in the rough or < 150 yards off the tee. Overall a very nice course. Fairways not overly generous, lots of sand on tee shots and approach shots. Bunkers are in good shape.
