Played Friday, no one in front of us. Finished round in under 4 hours. I like this course only because it helps you focus your game with a few short par 4s thrown in to mix things up. It's fun. Greens are healing nicely from 1/2 aeration. Fairways are a little sketchy and so are tee boxes. They need to rotate those tee boxes b/c you get a lot of iron play on them and they tend to get chewed up a bit.

Overall I am happy with the course conditions. Greens roll pretty well, some bounciness but still very playable for typical muni next to LAX. Would like to see the rates drop a bit b/c it is a shorter course but what are you going to do? BTW Very easy to get on as a single/double. Expect a lot of beginners on the course and hackers like myself. Do not expect country club service or conditions just your basic blue collar faire of decent service, decent course conditions and the occasional frustrated player playing slower than they have to.

Greens were recently aerated. 1/2 of each green has been aerated.

Pace of play was FAST. Got out at 4 finished around 7:30pm. Thanks to the lighted course for the final few holes. Greens are OK. Very bumpy on the unaerated sections of the green. Fairways are ok, a little thin at times but still very playable. Rough is thick in places and not so thick in others. Sand in bunkers is good -- very light sand and well stocked.

I like this place b/c you can get out typically fast on the weekday. Pace of play during the week is always fast. Will return if only to satisfy my golfing urges for a round under 4 hours.

My boy Inch and I went out this past Sunday morning at 9am and there was barely anyone on the course. We started at 9:05am and I was in the car driving home at 12:15pm......good business and unheard of at Westchester. I like that this course is finally 18 holes. The tee boxes and rough areas need to improve but the greens and sand traps are in good shape considering the amount of play this course gets. Overall, a good value.

Played over New Year's weekend. My first outing in quite a while. Played with DavdD. Course is a great way to focus on your short game. There are some long holes but overall practice your short game. Course was crowded. 4 hour+ round for an executive course -- Not good. Greens OK. Newer greens (back 9) were really nice the rest were bumpy and slow. Should be expected with rains. Hole 2 fairway still flooded with a lot of casual water. Tee boxes were very bumpy and unlevel. Hard to find a flat spot. Hard to complain at the price of $28 weekend but pace of play was terrible. Now if they made all the greens like they did to the 4 on the back 9's new addition then perhaps it would be more fun but it's a typical muni so its short on scenery and pristine golf conditions. Just enjoy the fact you're playing golf and not working.

I consider this my home course and play it a few times a month, mostly on weekdays. Once daylight savings hits, this is the only course we can play after work because of the lights. You can start as late as 5:30pm and still finish 18 by 9:30pm (on the weekdays). In my opinion, this course is NOT worth playing on the weekend (unless you want to get in a late round). I'd rather play a longer course that's more challenging (such as Alondra). But during the week, its golden. Though its generally pleasant, because of the proximity to the airport, you'll get a 747 in your backswing every now and then.

This course is one of lusher courses in the South Bay, greens are nice and about medium to fast. At the end of the day they can get quite bumpy at times but for the most part, they're good. Not a lot of undulation but a few have a good amount of slope. Fairways are great, narrow with not a lot of trouble - the local rule (if you hit another fairway) is pick up and drop on the fairway you're playing. You're not allowed to hit off another fairway, even if it's the adjacent one. Sand is ok, rough is ok, tough around some of the greens.

The layout is simple, a few holes dogleg and water comes into play on at least one hole. This course is short, longest Par 4 is 350 yards - shortest is 268. There's some elevation changes on a few holes but not too bad. A few have OB. The wind can really blow in this area and can really howl in the early evening. Some holes will give you trouble if you play a high fade, especially into the wind. Some of cross-wind will take off some distance from your shots as well. This course penalizes slicers more than hookers. If you're off to the right, it's either OB or your scrambling. Being left is ok most of the time. There are five Par 4s in the front and three in the back (and one Par 5). The rest are Par 3s that average about 140 yards.

The lights do a good job of illuminating the course at night (especially on the back) but it still can take some getting used to. The clubhouse is small but decent and the food is pretty good. Carts are ok. Staff is well organized and friendly. Practice facilities are quite good (except for the pitching and chipping areas) - there are two practice greens, one of them is huge. The range is excellent, mostly mats, but a grass range area is available on weekends starting Friday. Pitching and chipping area is almost worthless.

You get mostly locals and the occasional out-of-towner that has a overnight layover and needs to get his golf fix - overall this is a very fun course.

This course has become much busier since they made it a full 18. On weekends expect a 5-6 hour round.

As far as conditions go, for the amount of traffic this course gets, it's in pretty good shape. Most of the fairways are right next to each other so be sure to pay attention if someone is hitting on the next one over since there isn't many trees to hide behind. They recently put in new mats at the range which are nice for your pre-game warm up and practice, and the practice greens are usually in pretty good shape too. They could have a better chipping area.

Overal it's a fun little course.
